Re: Park Canyon Supercross 2022
I really like this scale. While it might not be "real" dimension-wise, the feel is real. I'm all about the experience feel versus the supposed math.
But I didn't try to break it and I be you can do some stupid unreal stuff, especially with traction so good you won't slip.
Someone said JS7 and I'll just say... sand race?

Yes! It's Race's.... Once he's done I have two more with them so hopefully I can make someone do a 3 race Sand Championship
Re: Park Canyon Supercross 2022

+1 love it! thanks.jgmtbike wrote: ↑Mon Feb 07, 2022 7:02 pmI was going to say this track is pretty damn realistic lol. Its small scale, peaked jumps, and tight rhythms
Good job Race! You need to make another track like Castillo, me and the Wildside crew love that track

Re: Park Canyon Supercross 2022
Just read through your comments about scaling claiming that the SX triples are 12ft tall and what not, you got issues reading numbers clearly brother.Jrife548 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 07, 2022 7:14 pmNothing I'm about to say is a dis on the track creator, as this track is one of my new favorites. I'm just pointing out why I think it's not realistic in my opinion. I think the closest thing to a sim experience in this game is Jay's anaheim or Rogan's Indy, because those tracks are literally perfectly scaled to irl. I will say that riding this track does give me a sense of "more realistic than most tracks, especially rF." Again, I love the track, I think it's sick, this is not a dis on the course, alright? Alright.
Peaky jumps are fine, but if you're talking about real life, jumps like sx triples/finish lines are not even close to as peaky.
Also SX whoops don't look like this, and aren't even remotely as easy
I'm pretty sure hitting 4-4 out of a 90 degree corner on a 250f doesn't happen irl too often
In the editor, there's a tool that can tell you how tall and long jumps are. The SX triple is 12 feet tall and 100 feet long. What would be the 3 foot singles in rhythms are almost 7 feet tall. The finish line jump, which usually are pretty tiny, is a lil under 90 feet long. Tripling into a rhythm section is almost 90 feet long. The track is almost 30 feet wide. A standard pass through the whoops section can get you over 50mph.
IMO a sim experience would be 1:1 scale tracks with super hard obstacles. That's the closest thing to IRL I can imagine this game getting to.
Everything on the track feels very realistic aside from the scale. This track would be just about the closest thing you could get to a real feeling track if the scale was closer to real life. It's insanely fun, and I appreciate the free content. Def one of my favorite tracks.
SX Triple Height - 8.02ft
SX Triple Length - 90ft
"3ft Single" - 3.74ft
Triple in Peak to Peak - 74ft
You seem to exaggerate the length of things a bit, hopefully doesn't go outside of sim :')

Man, this is by far the most fun I have had playing sim in a long time. Thank you for making this and I would love to see more of this style!

I think one of our sims is fucked and it ain't mineTeeranTomich wrote: ↑Fri Feb 11, 2022 9:19 amYou seem to exaggerate the length of things a bit, hopefully doesn't go outside of sim :')
All you gotta do to realize something is off in your game is ride up next to the "3.7 foot tall 3 foot singles" and see how the thing is literally taller than you. Sim rider isn't 3 foot tall.
Re: Park Canyon Supercross 2022
WAIT
I did not realize flat ground was 3 foot tall by itself.
Mistakes were made.

Re: Park Canyon Supercross 2022
It’s been a minute for me but I wanna say the elevation (height of the terrain) could be set at 3.25 normally instead of 0.00 and the singles add the 3.75 which gives it the 7.00 number. Correct me if I’m wrong.

Re: Park Canyon Supercross 2022
just started playing again here and there a couple weeks ago. But man this is so nice and feels so fun. After being let down with the direction that rF tracks are going in terms of scale. This feels like a real practice track would (I imagine). Props to you hombre.
