ok well i jsut got done playing and hells corner properly named but i could clear everything? i was looking forward to the bouncing but none the less a great track and one of the best so far... so far up its close to mine good job

hey guys,

when u down load a custom track is there ANYTHING (maybe a track editor or somthing) you need to have in order to get the textures to appear because i have downloaded 3 of the contest tracks and they all apear completly white with most of the objects not appearing. The only objects that appear are the ones that are in the actual game (such as the stock hay bales)

I was reading through the dallas thread and people appeared to have the same problem (there is an example shot of my problem on page 2 (from enzoperson)). I think DJ and JLV fixed the problem with changing the name of the track or somthing

ive downloaded some tracks successfully like dallas, but that was only because of the update that DJ and JLV did.
I remember when i downloaded King of the mountain main by DJ it also was completly white.

Im wondering if u should reinstall the game, but i doubt if that would work

are you just unzipping the track into the main appdata directory?
if you place the track in any sort of subfolder, like "tracks" or something, it will screw up the filepaths and it wont work.

im using winrar to unzip to mydocuments then just drag it to the personal folder (start/all programs/mx simulator/mx simulator personal folder)

OMG i fixed it! thanks gordy, i checked my folder path and i realised that when i unzip using winrar it creates a folder in which the track folder is in. I was just placing the whole folder in the personal folder which meant that there was an extra unwanted folder in the path directory.

you had some white decals at one part of the track, i just deleted them and it looked ok.

Yeah I had that as well.

This track makes me smile. The finish guy standing on the roof, and all the random people in the paddock. But most of all, the upper sky cracks me up everytime i see it.

It'll take a while to find the other easteregg, I'm guessing.
