Hurricane Irene

I've heard conversation coming out of animal pens that is more intelligent than what is going on in here.

So the lake I work at flooded it's banks more than I have ever seen. The lake right next to it had a guy found dead just floating in the middle.

There are a few videos here. I think your photos are more impressive though.

It was a non event where I am. It got a little windy and rained. I even went out for a run when there was a break in the rain.

It's crazy how much damage was caused, but nothing happened in western mass. You are pretty close to me Voutare, and you guys got devastating impacts. It was just like another rainy day here... Sorry for all your losses, do you still have power outages?

Wow, pretty devastating. Im in NE PA, most we got was some heavy rain and a boatload of wind...I actually moved into my dorm at Kutztown on Saturday; woke up on Sunday with no power what so ever =x. Had to evacuate our apartment becuase the backup generator wasn't turning on, and according to state law, you must have emergency lights at night. Packed my bag, and went and chilled in my cousins dorm for about 2 hours, and all of a sudden we get an announcement that we can move back in. Jeez, I guess Irene was a b1tch to all of us 8)

A kid I went to school withs little brother just killed himself. He was fucking 15, going to be a sophomore in High School. This fucking shit is absolutely unbelieveable. I can't believe any of this. I mean this kind of stuff never happens in Vermont.

Why would he do that? Over the storm or was there something bigger?

I don't know. It doesn't make any sense. They have the perfect family, great parents, good friends, he was on varsity baseball, good at everything. His lawn and the entire neighborhood was underwater but the house was fine. His dad had a heart attack when he found out also. This is just too much. I don't even know.

And I'm sure none of you care, but I can't get a hold of anyone I know because half the state doesn't have power. So thanks for at the very least understanding what's going on here in Vermont.

There aren't tropical storms in California; however, they are all going to be swimming in the Pacific Ocean in 10 years.

I'm jealous of that perfect weather

And I just found out the cemetery where my grandparents are buried flooded.

My Grandfather was always afraid of that happening. It was one of his only fears he had, was having his grave under water.
