I had several craigslist replies and awkward phone calls, explaining to them that I was not selling a two stroke race ready dirt bike. I crushed a lot of teenagers dreams.
Was there pictures? I could see someone not know that Suzukis use the letter Z and not F for their four strokes, but if there was pictures so they could see the light reflectors, non-inverted thin forks, and air-cooled engine should give it away that it is not a 2 stroke Motocross race bike. And if those dont do it, then seeing that skinny ass pipe and tennis ball container sized muffler should DEFINITELY give it away.
It's kinda concerning they dont even know the difference between RM/RMZ and DRZ. RM = Race Motocross. DR = Dont Race. And I went over the Z thing.
Yeah, I had about four pictures. two of which showed the entire bike from both sides and two more which where front/rear shots. I had it leaning next to our house which objects close to it clearly showed it's approximate proportion. I was on the phone with some pretty excited people until they would say something like "Man you're the only guy selling a 125 on here at a reasonable price!".
Also I thought the covered shocks would've been a dead give away too.
Back when i was selling my 04 cr85 i got a call from some 7 year old kid that wanted to trade a 2008 trx850.
I proceeded to piss myself laughing and hang up.

I've gotten some pretty funny responses to my craigslist ads. However, they are not really forum-appropriate given that they were posted under the "casual encounters" section.
What do you guys think of this for an ad?:
I'm looking for a woman who likes to go fast and doesn't mind getting a little dirty. She will like to wash my bike in a bikini while lathering herself in foamy suds, and of course clean the air filter. I'll tear her up like a sandy berm, and I might leave some roost on her ass.
PS. Will trade my stock xr50 frame and suspension for sex.

I decided to play the fucker, and Told him it was a deal. Told him to meet me @ One of the Tim Hortins between Where I live, and where he lives. Did I show up? Yep, but not with the bike. I texted him telling him that I would be there in 10 minutes. Little did he know, I was sitting right behind him. He was so mad.
Did you know he could have sued your ass so hard for breach of contract. you sir could have really fucked your self over playing that trick. And it doesnt matter if you didnt sign a contract you were in a verbal contract and you sir broke that contract

not necessarily. I never said that I would forsure be there. It was not verbal either, it was on the computer. For all they know, someone could have hacked my Gmail account/

It is still a contact now it is written there are many ways you could get out of it like arguing misrepresentation. I'm sure it would never result in much more then a angry email from the guy but you have to be careful contracts are extremely tricky and easy to get in trouble with I suggest you read this.
