I know there is some really "technology smart" people on this forum that can hopefully help. I have this problem with my Realtek HD audio manager. I left for a hotel so I unplugged my turtlebeach. On the way there I listened to music through ipod headphones. Nothing happend to my laptop, didnt drop it, spill on it, and no one messed with it. I get home and plug my headset in. I get no sound from my headset. I thought my headset was broken so I went and got another but I got the same results. When I unplug my headset the internal sound works fine. I have uninstalled/re-installed the driver and attempted updating but nothing works. If more information is needed I am sure I could explain more details. Im just trying to avoid having to send it to best buy and have to wait to get it back. Thanks to any help given.

The way I have heard is its pretty common with realtek

They never did show up. It just said it was always "High Definition Audio Device" It doesnt matter if its plugged in or not, it always says its connected.
Nevermind I got it to work. Dont as me how I fixed it either... cause its damn embarrassing I would count myself as knowing what I am doing with computers, hell I even take pre college courses on them but I just notice I had my mic and headphone inputes swtiched around in the jacks
