Thread for Random and Brilliant Minds!

I've heard conversation coming out of animal pens that is more intelligent than what is going on in here.

Just got back from math exam. I almost got everything down but then I got stuck in a fourier series problem when I would've had to integrate (t*sin(nt) dt). I knew that there's this formula: Image, but I just couldn't get it to my head
edit: I already got the results, 27/30 8) But that integration thingie still pisses me off, full points if I had remembered it

Calc 2, I'm guessing. And out of 30 points, what kind of bs is that. My math exams are 4-5 problems out of 100 points, and if I screwed up in one spot (even something as small as a sign error) I got the entire problem wrong... Oh well, if your in calc 2, the good news is that calc 3 is loads easier.

Well here in Finland the exams are usually 5 problems, each worth 6 points. The grading depends on the teacher, some give points easier than others.
I think this is my last compulsory math course, but that was just a mid-term exam. The course continues to Fourier- and Z-transforms and I have no phucking idea what those are :?:

Thought I'd bring this thread back from the dead for a system of equations I would like to solve.

cos(a)cos(b)=x
cos(c)sin(a)+sin(c)sin(b)cos(a)=y
sin(c)sin(a)-sin(b)cos(a)cos(c)= z

I want to find a, b and c in terms of x, y and z.

Anybody know the best way to go about it?

If Wolfram Alpha doesn't know then I don't know.
