Idle question

I've heard conversation coming out of animal pens that is more intelligent than what is going on in here.

Idle question

Post by mxer223 »

My 09 kx250f is idling pretty high. I have the idle turned as low as possible, but still it's like it has the choke on when I have it off. It also seems to backfire more than usual. This just started happening, and I really can't find what's wrong with it.

It's sucking air somewhere. Check your air screw and airbox boot for starters.

I personally don't use carb cleaner, because most carb cleaners you buy are meant for cars and can damage a motocross carb by metling some of the little plastic peices. But by all means use a carb cleaner if it is a proper motocross carb cleaner.

Because there arnt any little plastic pieces in car carborators... You cant be seriouse
Carb cleaners are all the same ...Dont be pawned just because it says motocross on it...
If your worried about it .,..use brake cleaner its not as harsh...

It's a four stroke. It has a fuel screw. If it had loosened it would be rich.
That guy on the two stroke
