I've been wondering this for about 10 minutes now. A friend brought it up on Facebook. So, why is Waldo hiding in the first place?

i dont think hes hiding, he seems to pretty happy and hes normally waving at ya,
i think that hes just got a lot of friends cause of his jazzy lookin sweater and cane so hes always got a swarm of people around him
