Yesterday's RST Superbike TT could NOT have been a more far-fetched story, even if it was a movie script! Michael Dunlop, bouyed by his Supersport win on Saturday which put him even with Uncle Joey for most wins at 26, was champing at the bit and created a 25 second lead by the second pitstop only to have it all slip out of his hands because of an ill-fitted helmet visor. He had to stop less than a mile from pit exit and take his gloves and helmet off in order to fix the visor, refit the helmet and gloves and continue, finally finishing in fourth friends. Peter Hickman inherited the lead while Dean Harrison and Davy Todd rounded out the podium.

Good to see Michael is in fine form, I must say. Was at the NW200 this year and he was way off Irwin and Todd, two completely different races but was thoroughly disappointed he wasn’t closer during the NW200, Surely win 27 comes at some point this week, anything else exciting happening? haven’t got to sit down and watch a race yet.

Nice! Lucky devil. Top of my bucket list is a roadracing vacation over there. Davey Todd capitalized on Dunlop breaking down and Hickman safely crashing out of the shortened, 4 lap Senior TT with Harrison and Brookes rounding out the podium. I'm pretty sure this is the first fatality-free TT since 1982.

The senior TT for 2025 has been canceled due to high winds (20-30 mph) in the absolute worst direction. Being the last day of the fortnite, they will not be rescheduling it. Due to the modern restructuring of the schedule, they were able to (by some miracle) have all the previous races run, although foreshortened and rain delayed almost every timeI. I didn't want to jinx it so I waited to post until after it was over, but we have 2 years in a row without fatalities. Out.

So close to that crash free lap! Most mistakes are braking/acceleration errors instead of forgetting where the track goes. Most of my gaming time is consumed by these attempts.

The Northwest 200 race week is underway and the Irish organizers are in keeping with their tradition of chaos and unspoken rules, regulations, prerequisites and requirements! Fan favorite Davey Todd, who is still recovering from the March 4th Daytona 200 crash injuries was suddenly told he was "not medically fit" to participate in this years NW200. He had completed test sessions at Valencia circuit last weekend and felt great. He wasn't given a medical evaluation, other than being told he wasn't fit to compete. Richard "Milky" Quale's son Illian was also told he couldn't compete, due to not completing 5 laps in the newcomer orientation laps session. He was in the session, which was red-flagged and restarted, only to have a misfire that forced him to pull off twice and unable to complete the full 5 laps. He was never told of the technicality, which is typical of the folksy, slipshod nature of Irish real roads racing officials. He hoping we will have a safe, dry race week!

With only 9 days left to go before this year's TT, I managed my first clean lap in the dry yesterday evening! Since 2018, I've been tryharding over and over to get in an aggressive lap but always crashed somewhere. Now I have to get 2 in a row! I can't figure out how to have a YouTube link work anymore, but here's the lap....

So hyped for the TT!

Got to go to the NW200 again this year, after missing out next year. Like always some great racing throughout the classes, Dean, Glenn & Storm made the 2nd SBK race an unbelieveable watch, I was thoroughly impressed with Storms performance considering he was a newcomer.

Ofc a sad week for all as Kamil Holan #74 tragically lost his life in a crash, but this is part of road racing, the first death at the NW200 in 10 years.

We are in for a thrilling 2 weeks of action at the TT and I would encourage anyone who hasn't watched a road race to tune in. 37.73 Miles with an average speed upwards of 120MPH.

Will note that Davey Todd has been declared unfit and wouldn't have been elgible to race either way due to not being able to race the NW200 as you are required to complete atleast 6 road race days within 13 months of the deadline and atleast 2 of them days must occur in the current calendar year.

Peter Hickman holds the current lap record at an average of 136.358MPH which he set in 2023, Michael Dunlop currently holds the win record at 33 wins which he will undoubtedly add to this year.

Holy crap! This is amazing! Thanks for sharing this. Super jealous and happy you got to see Storm take the NW200 by.... well....uhhh... Storm! His tribute to his dad by the wearin' of the top hat is a really nice touch to the whole affair! With Davey out this year, some other folks have a chance to step up at the TT. Really hoping the weather stays away for race days. I bought TT Live Pass yesterday and need to catch up. Meanwhile, I got my 3rd and 4th crash-free laps in yesterday in the game, so I can get 2 clean laps in a row this year for sure. Big deal to me, since it's been a long time coming!

Probably the only good thing about living in Northern Ireland is that you have NW200 in your back garden lol.

I watched your crash free lap and it actually made me get the game and try it out for myself, but damn it is hard to stay up, I carry way to much pace into the corners

That's great about you getting the game! Tough sledding, eh? GP Bikes has a less accurate version of the track, but it's in GP Bikes!

Using this and the live timing app was how I first followed live in 2018 and bought the TT Live Pass ever since.

The 2nd beautiful day in a row is complete and in the books. I hope the red-flagged sidecar practice/quali wasn't from anything serious.They only say that an incident at Brandish is what caused the early end and it was not restarting due to low light. It had an already 15min late start due to a traffic accident. Really hoping the warm, dry and windless conditions persist! I think tomorrow is an off day.
