I think it was probably just because that was the time slot Fox had available. Sort of a step in the right direction, at least everyone didn't have to figure out a stream to watch it on I guess.

According to Andy Bower, Plessinger was in the East practice and Roger Decoster built the KTM bike

They shoot make the shootout another main with points up to grab. It would be an amazing chance to make up points towards your opponent since there would be more competition that can settle between you and him.

But right now ... is there still anyone having the East / West coast proud? I mean Musquin is French, he's just racing it for the money he's getting from ktm (even the prizemoney is peanuts for him I guess). Martin has a minor injury and says nu-uh. And Bogle who's 100% healthy even says it's not worth the trouble and travel. He prefers spending a few more days on the outdoor tracks preparing himself the fullest.
And if a guy that is 32 seconds slower than Marvin can qualify, then the field must be real deep :/.

The prizemoney is peanuts for any of the riders. Feld is scamming every single rider out there. Im also pretty sure if your a privateer your contingency from the brand of bike is almost more than the prize. And the bike brand doesnt get any sales revenue from the event like feld does
