I've heard conversation coming out of animal pens that is more intelligent than what is going on in here.

250f's are so fun to rail, would own one if they weren't so temperamental haha. Too much maintenance.
Haha yeah they are good fun to ride.

Our 03 wr250f and 05 yz250f werent tempermental at all. We gave them a top end rebuild after a couple of years, but only to freshen them up. Never had to adjust the valves

My 07 Yz250f is still running strong, never had to do anything to it. Normal maintenance procedures go a long way.

Of course, I'm not racing every weekend either. But riding in sand all the time puts a lot of stress on the motor too.

Yeah. Guess I'm just skeptical because my mate owned a 07 crf 250. And it was the biggest nightmare of a bike.

Lol? No fucking wonder one of the worst bikes for valves /whole motor. They're weak motors.

I had my 08 KTM 250f for a few years never once touched my valves, when i sold it they were still perfect. If you maintain your 250f they will last and do you well treat it like shit like most kids do because they do earn/pay for their things they don't look after them. With my new '13 Rmz250 i change my oil every 2nd ride and do my air filter every time i ride check most bolts every time etc etc. Also ride it differently to be easier on the motor don't want to have to pay the cost of rebuilding one again it's ridiculous.

The only issue i ever had with my 07 YZ250f was the crank (killed two of them in a very short time), After the second one obvioulsy something else was causing it. I found that it was caused by a "going bad" oil pump. And thankfully nothing else was damaged, and bottom end rebuilds are relatively cheap. Ive adjusted the valves twice now, but i have probably over 200+ hours on the bike. Probably a lot more than that honestly. Was dumb and never got a meter for it.

I ride my bike like a 250f.
