Getting to Seattle and back is do-able, surviving 'till next payday may not be. I'd say that's a fair trade-off. We made it on TV last year from the 3rd row and I caught one of the t-shirts. None of that will happen from the nosebleed section this year.

I'm not sure if that kawi pipe is stock. I thought the real stock kawi pipes had black end caps on them. That's how my '13 was when it was stock, anyways. I'm also talking silencer, the header looks stock.

Well there was like 5 pictures in TWMX with all the brands in this years MX nationals at Japan, and every bike had such a factory look, everything looked tuned, only Kawi looks pretty much stock.

I think they remake a lot of the stock stuff with titanium. I know one of the Hondas had stock silencers that were made out of titanium. And I doubt the internals of the engine are stock, but I don't know.

Re: 2014 AMA Supercross Discussion
My dad used to do loads of dyno testing back in the day when he raced supermoto and he said the stock pipes were always the best. The aftermarket pipes just move the power around. Think about the money, the testing and the facilities that a company like Honda have and put into the development of their bikes. I doubt the internals are stock but there is a clear advanatage to trying to make your bike look like it performs great in stock spec. The American factory honda team used to do it with their minimalist graphics and silver rims making it look pretty much like a stock bike.Kawasakis wrote:No limitation for bike mods in Japan MX, runs with stock pipe.. and motor it seems like.

You're dad is an idiot or doesn't know how to use a dyno.BuddyTheElf wrote:My dad used to do loads of dyno testing...he said the stock pipes were always the best.

Re: 2014 AMA Supercross Discussion

I've actually also heard that changing exhaust will only adjust power delivery and not quantitative horsepower output, but my dad is probably as credible a source as anyone on that.
Certainly OEM manufacturer's wouldn't sell an inferior stock exhaust in hopes of boosting aftermarket sales...
