Re: 2014 AMA Supercross Discussion
So who's winning NJ in 250 SX class? Davalos may be out if his ankle in indeed broken, Bogle will ride conservatively most likely if that's the case, and if Baggett gets a bad start it can really open the door for someone new to get their first win. Martin, Lemoine, Freise, Bisceglia?

Has anyone confirmed whether he will race or not?

Track looks really sick.

Seen tons of post about Martin and even Martin himself claiming his injury but nothing on his status.

Racer X says a reliable source told them that Davalos broke both ankles and possibly bones in his feet. He's more than likely out for this weekend unless he tries to pull a Chad Reed-esque heroic act

Re: 2014 AMA Supercross Discussion
I've broken both of my ankles before, and I have no idea how similar the comparison is (I have a feeling his is less severe if he was able to walk off the track from what sources reported) but good luck racing Supercross with that. Outdoors on a track like Southwick there may be a chance (Less jumps softer dirt) but on a gnarly SX track, I doubt we'll see him. Brogle with the #1 plate! (Not just yet though, he can wad himself too and hand it over to Baggett)

Scaphoid in 9 pieces? Thats a hella small bone to be breaking into that many more small pieces.Tuesday was a day that's gonna be hard to forget in my life. I was getting ready for the weekend coming up in New Jersey, I was practicing at a local public track in Corona, California. During my warm up a very strange thing happened, something crazy and unexpected, the master link on my chain broke while going through a rhythm section. It made me go over the bars and I landed really hard on my feet. Unfortunately, I dislocated my right foot and shattered my scaphoid in 9 pieces. I had to have surgery to fix it all. The other foot is really bruised also and can't really put any pressure on my heal, we initially thought I had broken the heal but good news it's not broken, just really bruised. I want to thank my whole team Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki, Parts Unlimited, Thor, Scott, Alpinestars, Vans, Leatt Brace, my trainers Ty Kady and Brock Sellards, my mechanic Dave, and my whole family. This year it's been amazing to me and I couldn't have done it without these people. Thank u for sticking by my side and for believing in me and also to all my friends and fans that do believe in me and have supported me through my whole career. It's time for me to heal up and get better so I can ride again soon. God bless all of you.

Re: 2014 AMA Supercross Discussion
A normal break in your scaphoid can be a career ender if untreated properly, Davalos probably won't be back til 2015 with that (or just retire if he's ineligible for 250 class, I don't know if we'll see him in 450 class from what people are saying). Tough break, I wanted to see the title go down to Vegas and although I've never been a huge fan of Martin it would have been cool to see him win a title, as for Bro'gle.Pumaxcs wrote:Scaphoid in 9 pieces?
