look, yomo, ALL THAT I'M SAYING is that i'm frustrated because i THOUGHT that when i bought a ps3 controller it would come with the cable that makes it work.. do u not comprehend what i'm saying.. i'm not trying to argue that MOST PEOPLE dont need the extra cable.. i just think it sucks that i bought a controller that i can't use

Cables don't generally malfunction. Have you even tried the old cable with the new controller? The usb cable that the PS3 controller uses is a pretty common sized USB cable. Have you got a digital camera, because they generally use that sort of cable.

A PSP uses the exact same cable that a PS3 does.

well the wires in the cable dont work
yes i tried the new controller with the old cable and it still is not working

this happend to my controller too. you do not have to buy a new controller all you need to do is to buy a new USB cable witch is about 6-8 pounds in the uk so in the US i dont think it will be alot more.
