People losing their shit since the re-election

I've heard conversation coming out of animal pens that is more intelligent than what is going on in here.

I do agree with what the hoax statement said though.

Funny how none of you have mentioned the real problem, mental illness and the lame programs in place already, along with outreach centers being closed more often with little chance of being replaced because "I don't want one of those in my neighborhood!". Everybody wants to remove guns and violent entertainment from society because working on the problem is too hard.

One question I have. How many of these massacres happened in places that don't allow firearms??
Here in Colorado any public place can have a no gun policy, which means its illegal to go in concealed even if you have a licence to lawfully carry.

This makes schools a very easy Target to commit these crimes. There was a no firearm policy at the Aurora theatre killing as well. Just learned that from a cop that I race with.

Gun control is not the answer. I think more people should be armed and there should be stricter rules on purchasing a weapon.

I really want to see what laws may change. I don't thinly any with how strong the nra has become.

That's what I always thought gun control was. Gun free places are easy targets so I think they should be gotten rid of. Make people think twice before they go murder a bunch of people, and stop them quicker when they do. I plan to get my concealed carry license as soon as I can round up the funds for a decent pistol. I probably won't use it though. I don't like wearing extra stuff, especially when it's under my clothes.

That is why the dude that shot up the theater picked that 1. There were 4 others theaters closer to his residence but they allowed CCW holders to carry inside.

there is no proof that owning a gun makes you more liable to shoot someone.

Most of these shootings happen in the USA. but I don't think this the problem lies with owning guns.
A big part of the problem I think lies in the media, practically turning these crazy people into anti-heros. Every detail about their lives is dug up every little detail about the incidents is put on display over and over.
it goes so far as that more attention in the news and media goes towards the killer than to the victims and their families.

It doesn't help to portray these crazy assholes in the media like that, it encourages other crazy assholes.
The only reason the media jumps on it in this fashion is because it gets lot of viewers.

The media does not have the worlds best interest at heart, just it's own.

Post of the year right there.

I'm glad the guy offed himself after what he did. Or else we would've just seen his face over and over during a trial. As said before in this thread. (i think, may have read it somewhere else)

Remember the batman theater shooting? His face is still everywhere. Do you see any of the victims faces? Same with the Casey Anthony trial.

And people just get bent into fear because of media portrayal. 9/11 anyone? No victims there either. Just pictures of the terrorists, along with constant replays of the planes hitting the building.

A buddy of mine said he saw something on Facebook that said that schools should hire military veterans who are unemployed to work at schools to protect kids.

Quite an excellent solution if you ask me. (As long as they're all mentally stable)

seems a bit backward to me.
kinda like: give a man a fish and you'll feed him for a day, teach a man to fish and you'll feed him for a lifetime.

instead of more security the problem should be taken down at the roots.
These maniacs want to go down in some fantastic way, I dont think some army vets are going to stop them, it might even encourage them more.

Now some moron in Washington D.C. is proposing arming school teachers. Ugh. This is knee-jerking at it's worst.

What does being Mormon have to do with it? I read somewhere that since 1970 one out of something like 30 mass shootings have occurred in a non-gun free zone. That's more than just a coincidence.

Servaitis is onto something, the shooters are made out to be the victims, which encourages others to do the same thing. They feel they're the victim already and just want pity. Look at how Columbine turned out. They practically turned those two killers into heroes because they were bullied, and that made it okay.

This is how liberals like havoc think, go team Obama!

100% agree.

Banning guns/putting stricter laws in place would only work if criminals were law abiding citizens.
And militarizing our civilians (and teachers) is a really bad idea.

With the way things are looking tho, maybe we should call it Soviet America... <-- sarcasm
