I ride a 2009 Yz250f, it's pretty much all stock except a Yoshimura RS-4. I have no complaints at all, it's been super reliable and a really good bike. The suspension is great for being stock, once you dial in your clicker settings it's awesome. A great choice of bike for sure. If you're buying used make sure the seller knows his stuff about bikes, I've seen too many people buy used bikes and they turn out to be junk.

Ride on!

If you have something like $5500 to spend, which I'm not sure if you would or not, all 2013 Kawis have a $1000 rebate on them and I think you send in your receipt or something and you get a voucher for a free PC pipe or something worth around a grand. If you don't want the pipe you could sell it on eBay for around 700 or something.

You are prob gonna want new with 4 strokes. You don't want to have someone elses problems, especially with a 4 stroke.

Agreed big time, with a 4 stroke new is the way to go.

I'd say the best one would be a '12 kx250f or newer because it has the dual fuel-injection system and as you can see on the tests it's a pretty damn good bike. The kawi has the best engine and i can tell by my own experience, that it handles like a dream and the power is just so smooth and there's lots of it. It has a nice amount of torque too.

Im just not sure if buying a bike again is one of those things that's more fun to talk about than doing...

Well, putting lots of moneys into it isn't that fun, but once you get to ride it, with a good group of guys and stuff, you can't choose a better way to spend a day.

By my experience KTMs aren't as reliable as Japanese bikes, and they are more expensive too. I don't know how it's in 'MURICA but in finland KTMs cost about 1000 euros more than japanese bikes. Yamahas don't have the fuel injection so i would say that kawasaki all the way, it has the dual fuel injection it's reliable and it's fairly cheap.

Hahahaha, that's funny.

I've only had KTM/Yamaha's throughout my life. Yamaha's are very reliable, but my KtM's are wayyyy more reliable.

Yeah, they're about $800-1000 more, but they are worth it if you can afford it.
