Re: Weight Lifting
I lift for football/riding and you get this like Alpha male feeling when you hit big weight and feel strong as shit, it's like one of the best feelings ever. I know I sound like a tool saying it.

Re: Weight Lifting
I agree! I do weight lifting at school and do my cardio stuff at home most the timem121c wrote:I'm not to extreme into but I do the normal lifting, protein, rehydrate, cardio stuff. It just makes me feel good to do it I guess. I mean it's not fun to do but it just feels nicer than doing nothing.
But 99% is for riding/racing.

Re: Weight Lifting
I lift to get a good body. I don't ride enough to be able to justify it as training. Before I started lifting I used to go to the gym and do cardio and I've always tried to be as fit and healthy as possible and do/did lots of cycling but I can't deny the wanting to look good side of things as well. Most people that lift are lying if they tell you otherwise. "I do it to feel a sense of achievement and to push myself blah blah blah" yeh whatever.

Re: Weight Lifting
I lift because in the military there so much testosterone that everyone wants to be bigger and more fit then the next. Also I have nothing else to do since I cannot ride.

Re: Weight Lifting
It's not rude to ask why, Nate. No worries.yzmxer608 wrote:This isn't meant to sound rude or anything, but why do you guys work out like this? Do you just want more muscle? I asked one of my friends who has his own schedule and eating plan, and he really didn't have an answer other than to be healthy. I can see working out, but I'd rather be doing cardio or tons of reps with little weight for stamina rather than just building muscle for no apparent reason. Maybe I'm just the odd man out who doesn't want to be a body builder or something.
My current goals are to build muscle mass in my upper body(primarily for looks) and endurance muscle in my lower body(better for snowboarding and such). I have naturally massive legs from playing soccer all my life, so there's no need for me to go any bigger in my legs. I have a lot to gain in my upper body though.

Re: Weight Lifting
Then thats not funny. I guess its only funny if you use Chrome too, as it uses a different broken link image. My joke was a broken image and a larger version of the same image.Yamahaman95 wrote:hmmm didnt see what i did wrong, plus now i cant see the bottom pic, but thanks for fixing it

You can see it because of your internet cache is my guess. I'm assuming the rest of us see this.
