Re: Computer Build HELP!!!
D'oh, noticed I forgot OS on both and keyboard/mice. The screen I included is the same I have, not bad but not great either. Keyboard/mouse are $20 maybe for a wired pair from Logitech, once again not bad.

I am not a very picky guy! That is still a great price range. I am just looking closer to $1000 but not that vital. The only game ill be playing is mxs. This computer mostly is going to be used for work purposes which is good from what I can see , and as you mentioned. Thank you for the time, and help!

Re: Computer Build HELP!!!
If you are going to make money off the computer I would spend more, of course you will have to figure out how much you will make and see what is feasable. You can deduct it when you do your taxes next year. Specifically a good monitor, one of the most important things for a video editor so you can color correct on a display that is accurate. I would go for a Dell U2412m personally but there are other choices. I will say that the stand on my Dell ultrasharp is the nicest monitor stand I have ever used, it is awesome and the 16:10 aspect ratio is very nice for working in different applications.

Re: Computer Build HELP!!!
Yea I figure this much... I could spend plenty more on computer build. However, atm I am more focused on the camera gear, and having what I need to do whatever task I am faced with in the field. Computer comes second. As long as I have a computer that is up-gradable, than that is all I can ask for. From the suggestions so far I can tell editing, and render wise I will be fine. Color correcting is a big thing for me as well, and I will for sure look into that monitor! Just for the time being I am spending more on camera equipment.SMR 510RR wrote:If you are going to make money off the computer I would spend more, of course you will have to figure out how much you will make and see what is feasable. Yea, I mean the monitor was the only place that was really skimped on in Pumas last build. Its going to be one of the most important pieces for you since if you can't see what you are doing you can't edit the video! Other than that I think you should be fine.
