Whats your pc?

I've heard conversation coming out of animal pens that is more intelligent than what is going on in here.

Yea I saw the $40 one, not a good enough deal to drive all the way down there if I don't actually have a use for it (yet).

Oh well.

I will trade anyone my Frys for your Microcenter, those CPU deals!

Fry's really isn't that great so don't feel bad. I hardly ever go there unless I need something right now to finish a project. Amazon and Newegg are both usually cheaper plus I don't have to go to the Gold Rush themed store hahaha.

When I buy a new pc case, I'll buy as many fans as I can fit in it. The only problem is I'll probably be able to fit 7 fans in there, but my motherboard only supports up to 3 "sys_fan" or what the connectors are called. How will I resolve this? It would be nice if the fans would adjust the speed automatically, as they do now?

You can just get fan splitters like this.

I'm a fanlol of the ModMyToys or Phobya PCB splitters. They use a molex power and 1 PWM signal and distribute to all the other headers. You still have the PWM control and I think the PCB is alot cleaner than Y's.

Yay, we can get back on topic!

I ended up picking up a refurbished Lenovo Thinkpad Yoga with the Wacom Digitizer. This thing is awesome! So glad I got it.

Loving the white color scheme, but the case kinda kills it for me. Looks like it is made of wood. All around, sick looking build

Since I have gotten straight As for 3 years and have a 4.0 in school right now, I have convinced my parents, and grandparents (all named John ) to fund a PC for me (great timing, right?). They told me I have a $500 budget(excluding an OS, monitor, keyboard, and mouse).

Would this build work? I am not looking to run a 40 man gate at High Detail. I am looking to run maybe a 25-30 man gate at normal-high settings with about 50-70 FPS.

Honestly use the summer and work.. whether it be mowing lawns, washing cars, or something of that nature. Take that $500 and then put the money you make on top of it and build a sick computer. Just my 2 cents.

I'd go something along this route. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/qhTdWZ

It will be able to run sim a lot better than the one you built. The case is not the greatest, you will have to take out drive bays to fit the card. You have a little bit of room to upgrade with my build. With yours you are limited because of the 300w power supply.
