I think it is legit. They managed to get a Commercialisation Grant from the Australian government of about 2 million dollars. You don't just scam a government for 2 million dollars and think you can get away with it.

According to this interview, its not a voxel renderer, and they are working on animations.

Bringing this thread back from the dead...realtime demo at about 22 minutes. There is a lot of repetition going on but still looks cool.

Has anyone figured out how they're going to store the data for millions of their 'atoms' as I think they called them? Seems like a fuckton more data than we're already seeing.

Well, just watched all 40 minutes. >.>. I didn't learn anything and I don't recall them mentioning how they solved the space problem. I think they started talking about it. Video is too long to keep all those topics in my head at once lol.

Would you like tracks that use up a terabyte? For scanned data it's probably going to work well since the memory usage is a given there. For games it wastes too much memory.

Here's the latest video. They'd come off way better if the guy wasn't such a carnival huckster all the time.

Oh, so what's point of it? Do you think this will ever come into the gaming world?

Maybe for references but in game I don't see much of a use. Commercial could get a good use but it will be awhile before something that size is practical.
