Re: Richard Burns Rally
I installed the HDR mod and bangbang mod, and now my notes are in french
What do I do to get them back in english? I tried the pacenote manager but it didn't help.

Damn it, there was a setting in-game that changed the language
Sorry about the useless posts.

JETZcorp wrote:I installed RSRBR2009, and didn't like it. It got rid of my favorite effect - the dust - on gravel stages. All the new cars had the point-of-view set about 30ft back so I was looking for the road through a one-inch slit in my monitor, the interface felt hobbled together, and there was no explanation of how to do anything. When I installed the mod, after about a billion years trying to figure out how to do so, I was given this great confusing interface with no guidance at all. I knew there was a Porsche 911 to be had in there somewhere, but I had to dig through tons of arbitrarily-named groups of cars to find it. What does A&8 '99 mean? Oh, those are the WRC cars from the 1999 season, why didn't I sense that with my ESP earlier? And the list was HUGE! There were about six different buttons to choose what way you wanted to run the game, but the one you really want is the one that says "Run RSRBR," no, the real one you want is just labeled with the name of some .dll file. Why didn't I figure that out from the start, it's so obvious! To fix or create new camera views, there's the highly-regarded Camhack that is not explained by anyone anywhere. Google, YouTube, Ask.com, none will give you any information except where to download it, and how many people couldn't live without it. Meanwhile, I have it but don't know how to use the bloody thing! Oh, and when I finally found the Porsche 911 Turbo, the game claimed it had rear-wheel drive (wrong) and under 300hp (wrong again.)
I re-installed Richard Burns Rally, and am enjoying the sim again.
I did not understant all, but if you want some tips or help ask
Camhack work like this
Open camhack
see the new config.ini in richardburns rallye folder
Find this line KO=55
replace by KO=28
that Active "enter" button for switch on camhack ingame
Search FOVY=1
change by FOVY=0.833
Work for 16/10
For other reso use this:
4 x "YRes"
FOVY=--------------
3 x "XRes"
After that you can run the game and modfy you seat position

Its a french Forum but some admin speak/write english well
For Porsche turbo is right in real is a 4wd ^^ and get 480cv, but the real rules of rally is: maximum cylinder for turbo engine is 1999cc, whith a rein in the amout of the turbo, so all of rally car "WRC" produce 300hp max approximatly. 240-270hp for Turbo grN, depend of fuel and mapping.
The porshe turbo, got a 3.600cc engine + turbo, so if you apply the coef 1.4 for turbo engine, you do 3.600 x 1.4 = 5040cc.
So you get a 4wd, with 480hp, an engine of 5040cc whith the turbo coeffcient apply, it will be a weapon for the win ^^ But is not, FIA do rules for not privilige this type of car (big blok + turbo)
Little preview of the text in a rally book:

D'après des sources fédérales , la réponse devrait etre négative . Dommage

Re: Richard Burns Rally
Did you install the V1.2 patch for the original RBR? I think that's required, but I am not 100% sure.Duckstream wrote:im installing the rsrbr mod now, but the cars from impreza05- to what ever is the last update car, cant get installed (i got to pass all of them) cause

Re: Richard Burns Rally
That's what I did atleast. I'm not sure if you can install the 1.02 patch after installing the base RSRBR09, but I think it's worth a try before you make a clean install.
Link to the patch here:
http://www.rbr-online.it/?m=mDownloads& ... ategory=17
(and you're right it's 1.02)
