2012 motocross des nations @ Lommel

I've heard conversation coming out of animal pens that is more intelligent than what is going on in here.

Estonia will dominate it for sure   ,we have Leok who cant go fast because he has a family, and then we have P.Rätsep who cant finish the race because his shitty diga racing ktm does not work. And aslo i guess we have G.Krestinov who is so fast in the sand,in 2008 he won second moto in Lierop if i remember right. So i hope we will get top 10 this year.

Herlings may win the motos but its a team event, holland you should be happy if you get 3 or something.

You don't get it either I think. Even tho it is a team event. If you realize as a rider that your country hasn't got the riders to battle for the first place then as a rider you just have to make the best of it. And how can you make as a rider the best of it? By winning your class overall. Herlings knows that first place for team Holland is nearly impossible. But how silly would it be if Herlings would just do some wheelies and some whips for the crowd instead of racing for what he's worth.

@all
About the EU Vs. US thing. I hate it when guys think the one series is better then the other.

I also remember a Roczen dominating the MX2 class for 2straight mxdn's. Once on an AMA track, once on a GP track. It is just strange he can't perform what he did the last couple of years at the mxon and even the world championship.
That the USA is a country wins is something nobody can deny. They're just the best country in the world year after year again. But it's typical US to ignore the fact that you guys have WAAAYYY more riders then we have. Like last year Belgium had 4 top riders injured. In the US it doesn't even get noticed that there are guys missing. We had to ask a mailman, somebody who works in his daily bases to ride for us. He did awesome btw :D.

But it's not because the USA wins a lot that the AMA series are better then the GP series. Remember Clement Desalle finishing a moto3th with his stock honda? Or beating Stewart straight up in Unadilla with an unfamiliar suspension setup, getting 2-2?
Or that guy who got paralized, came back and lost 2outdoors titles, once because of his own fault (crashing out) and once because his bike broke. But he won a shootout and 2SX lites titles.

Or do you guys remember the Americans in our series? They fail every single time for some reason. I think Mike Brown was one of the few who actually did pretty good. Thanks to his holeshots.

The only way to find out who would beat who is to have 1big world championship. But for some fucking up reason has this sport 2, maybe even3-4 big championships. Every one of them calling themselfs the best championship in the world. That's something you only see in Boxing. I mean F1 is F1, that's the world championship for on track car racing. MotoGP is MotoGP that's the world championship for on track bike racing. WRC is WRC, that's the championship for rally drivers. Same with Tennis, Soccer, Cycling ...
Something like the Trans-AMA championship should come back. 4rounds after the championship in 4diffrent continents. Open qualifiers.

Thats the spirit hahahaha!

A shame we couldnt get our "good" riders to race, but after hearing Fredriks (8th @ washougal) and Filips (rode ama sx this year) to why they didnt want the spots I think we got the best team we can have at the moment. All 3 of them are really really good in sand, I just hope the whole team has their bad days on the same day like in previous years...

My only comment on this because this could quickly turn into a huge debate, but we have won championships over there. It's been like 20 years that an American has won the world gp championship, but it has happened.

Next year...they should have a straight up European team. Like, all the countries will still be racing with their three riders, but they will also select three riders from all the countries in Europe to be on team Europe. So those three riders will be racing on their countries' team, but they will also be racing for Team Europe.

I think that would make it interesting.

Well, we could make a hypothetical Team Europe, just to see what would happen. The thing is that we have to pick it before the race, so we cannot just pick the top scorers after the race. I for one would pick Cairoli(MX1), Roczen(MX2) and Herlings(Open).

Roczen is racing the mx2, right?

Ye he will ride MX2.

I would normally go for
MX1 Cairoli
MX2 Herlings
MXO Nagl

But because Herlings is riding open class we can't make up a score from that. So here's my UEM licensed team
MX1 Cairoli
MX2 Jeremy Van Horebeek
MXO Herlings
