I do agree. The voting system is lame, and sets it up to be a popularity contest, which I simply do not have many " fans ". I have just over 500 friends on Facebook. Compared to that of Dayton Daft, and his rider Brett Cue who has over 4,000. So tech is he wins, it is because of his rider right? Sure I have Tim Ferry, but Ferry is also not big into Social Media, and is not going to hound ppl for votes.

If you want me to break down the videos I will. KSP is too much just like the Bud Racing video to the Tee, Daytons video has a sick intro, but it lame after that, Slo mo whips that are as sketchy of slow mo as you can get, really laggy. Barnes video is nice. Has great scenery, but the twixtor parts were not hidden very well, and ruins it for me. My video while not up to par on quality side of things, and sure has it's flaws. You can be that judge, but Mine actually offers more than just hipster music/Electro. I went for something different, and I am not relying on the popular Ronnie MAc and already used 100 times footage for my entry.I wanted to put nothing but action, and mix it up with some random Funny moments to keep interest. The fact of what I went through to even shoot my video is more accomplishing to me, than if I win this.

Vote how you like, and who you like the most. Never wanted anything different. But to sit there, and say I would only win because of fan votes. Is just flat out retarded.

I know, I know....but I honestly like his the best and so I will vote for him and try to gain support. I agree like most of the people here that the voting really is screwed up but if all the other entries are doing the same thing (popularity votes/what riders are in the video), you can't win in this case by not spreading the word around about the competition. But as mxmasta said, Jeff make sick videos and they are fun to watch. But his video is not the best for me. It's the one on the right side of Jeff's one, but i'll vote for Jeff too.

No I never saw this video before, I'm not too much in the motocross scene, I'm more into mtb/snowboard/cars stuff, and except the fact that they are racing against each other I don't see that much similitude... Camera angle/beauty shot etc nothing look the same... I'm not trying to argue I'm just saying my own opinion

I strongly disagree, there is a lot of similar angles, as well Theme. Two bikes racing each other, one loses etc. It is all good. Just my opinion

Always wanted to do Mountain Bike videos, just don't know many ppl who do it. Can't wait to find out on Friday how everyone faired out. I am sure Dayton will do quite well.

I also agree about the voting system but for a company/sponsor, that's the best way to get tons of views so easily... Gopro give 3 camera ? Total worth ( for them ) is like what 400$ ??? Go count all the views that all the 8 videos have bring, with their logo etc, it's easy and cheap publicity for them but a stupid system for a ''skills'' contest.... The winner cannot say he has the best video, ( maybe he has but we will never really know and anyway everyone thinks differently ) but he can only say he got the most popular probably because of his fan base...

It's okay if you find lots of similitude in my video and the one you posted, but the funny thing is, all the videos in this competition ( mine included ) have nothing '' never done/seen before ''. We all already saw all these types of videos including action/funny stuff, smooth and slomow whips, multiples terrains stuff etc, we also all saw some video of a race between 2 guys in many sports

For now it's pretty obvious that Dayton will win this contest anyway

So if I was to win, it was because I am more popular? Lol dude I have less FB/Twitter friends than anyone else. However I do agree, the voting of this is quite poor. Good thing Bryan is changing things up next year. Hopefully will be more on a level playing field.

But just so I make this clear tho. The best video got beat out last week.

Either way it is more of a fight for second, but I know I have gotten a lot of support from some good people. Hopefully it pays off in someways. Could always use another GoPro so Hopefully I finish on Podium to get one haha....

not just gonna vote because you a sim ripper but because your video was funny and consistent all the shots where quality and took though for the angles all around probably better then most videos the transworld and racerx come out with so. you got my vote every day

Lolll no that's not exactly what I wanted to say loll I think that if the winner has a big fan base ( Dayton/BQ has a big one, I have and ''okay'' one I think ) it doesn't mean that he had the best video, just the most popular and this probably because of his fans, if someone with no fans ( you ? and I don't know about the other guy ) well if one of you wins, yes he's video was probably way better and this is kinda a bigger win BUT I still think that in the end, we cannot say that this will be the BEST VIDEO on all aspect, since it should only have been decided by professionals videographers / people from the industry and using criteria etc. not only random people voting...

anyway, we are complaining about the voting system but still voting and making publicity for our videos

I'm just happy to be in the finals, well see what happens friday
