Yeah I know I have a gtx670 2GB and I wish I would have bought the 4GB one now. Because especially in outdoors I can easily exceed 2GB with a lot of skins.will96 wrote:I can say that recently going from 1gb to 3, its pretty necessary, especially online. My 560 did great on all but vram, so I'd go 7770 on this one.aaronr5 wrote:I was gonna go for a 7850 for him but he is only gonna play sim. So I thought why not get a 7770 2GB instead of just a 1GB 7850 since sim uses a good bit of graphics memory with skins and stuff.

Re: Whats your pc?
So I did some extra searching and found this out
7770 2gb $125
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6814121642
7850 2gb $166
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6814102999
I would hope Matt could fork out the extra $41 seeing as it is a huge upgrade in performance. The 7770 could most likely handle sx but as for nats I really dont think it will hang in their too well.

Re: Whats your pc?
PC has been built and working for a few days but just recently got W7 disc in to authenticate the OS. So, now I officially am done with the build. This is right after everything was piece together and plugged up but cables are still hanging freely. Now that I have a windowed case I made sure it looks all nice and tidy. I'm fine right now with the performance (better be right?) but soon enough I will start to OC it but for now I'm just going to enjoy it for a few days. I have planned on getting better images but the glass is tinted and I really don't have many LEDs so there isn't much to show.
Major part list
Gigabyte UDH3 LGA 1150 Z87
EVGA GTX 780 3GB
i7 4770k
Corsair Vengance Pro 16GB 1866 RAM
Corsair H100i 240mm CPU watercooler
Corsair AX1200i (super overkill, like so much but, when I get either 870/880 SLI for WC I want enough and there is no way that isn't enough.)
Corsair 750D
Not hardware but
Corsair Vengance K70 mechanical keyboard
Corsair M95 mouse
Using the same drives as before just pulled from the old system. Eventually want a 1 or 2 TB WD Black for mass storage and maybe reuse this 500GB for a small NAS or linux/server box.
All of this is connected up with Corsair Link which has so far been fantastic. Monitoring every fan curve and temperature from the desktop is by far one of the best reasons to get the 80i/100i.

Re: Whats your pc?
Custom loop without a doubt yes. This is the case I will run it in so for now I'm just measuring up radiator space and tubing paths but I will get a full loop, though it will probably be just the CPU/GPU its still something I think would be really cool to have. Sleeved cables has been a start and Corsair has some pretty sick looking ones but for now the black ones are fine. Maybe once I think more about color scheme and watercooling pieces if I think that can make it look slightly better or better tie in a color with the rest of the case I will do it. Also want a new desk but thats for another time as well, I have a pretty small desk as of now so sooner or later I hope to get a larger one so I can get the tower off the ground.Motofinne #375 wrote:Any plans on a custom loop or sleeved cables?

Re: Whats your pc?
I would sell it, buy the one that I intended to get, and pocket the cash. 1TB goes for $570, 120GB goes for $90.
