gaming

I've heard conversation coming out of animal pens that is more intelligent than what is going on in here.

Going to try iRacing, 3 months 60% off! Just to see how it is, i've heard the racing is like no-other and LFS is dead now.

But you have to pay for extra cars and tracks? That kinda sucks :(

And i presume you can have your own server, or something and moto with Vent guys or something?

My opinion of racing games for this 2012

MUD
Could be better, I just hope they improve quite some stuff

DiRT showdown (4th DiRT, 9th if you count all Colin McRae's game)
The trailer is really eye-catchy but tells a lot of stuff. Racing classes I've seen : rally, rallycross, hillclimbing, gymkhana, historic rallying, dirt oval and DEMOLITION DERBY

GTR 3
They better include some prototypes or vintage cars. GT racing is not in its best moment right now

rFactor 2
The base looks cool right now but I don't give a fucking damn, I want tons of MODs

Motorstorm RC (5th)
Motorstorm with radio-controlled cars?? WTF?? Too many questions about this game. Will it be as arcadey as the others?? Will we have a realistic view of the race (like if we were controlling the car on one side of the course) or just a swingman view??

Wrecked
Have you ever played Micromachines v4 or Mashed?? It's just more of the same

Bang bang racing
Looks like a copy of GeneRally (indie game I COMPLETELY LOVE)

Carmageddon : reincarnation (4th)
I'm sure they won't make it as gore-y as the incredible TDR2000

Might head out and buy WRC 2 for my sex box. From what I've researched on you tube it seems like its pretty realistic, and only $38 haha.

Roads are sooo wide and stages are really short. There hasn't been a decent rally game since the PC version of Richard Burns rally or the WRC saga by Evolution studios (yeah, the ones that make Motorstorm used to make great rally games, specially WRC3 and WRC 4)

LoL, Evolved (5th WRC game from Evolution studios) was the worst one, hahaha. Only 3 short stages per rally, it was quite shitty. WRC3 was the best when it comes to stages (Wales' Rheola was 14km long) but the physics were quite bad. WRC4 had shorter stages (5-8km) but the physics were a little bit better

The physics in CMR2005 are quite bad, you can go damn fast and sliding doesn't feel right

PS : I loved the damage engine on WRC4, having "odd" failures like having your electrics damages was fun (lights blinking and the numbers of the speedometer and gear indicator going crazy). I remember going at like 110mph (estimate speed) having the electrics off. I say 110mph because I was going damn fast on a straight but I don't know how fast I was going, there was no damn speedometer!!!

I think it feels like you drive rFactor. You have full control over the car.

The new WRC games are soo arcady

Not at all, rFactor physics are A LOT better. In rFactor you can't go rallying averaging 80-85mph like in most CMR stages
Milestone's WRC games are quite arcadey but the worst thing about them is the HUGE width of most stages. It's like racing on a 3-lane motorway

Anyone here remember Jagged Alliance?

Demo of the new JA can be downloaded here
It's been done with a low budget and it shows, but I tried the demo and the gameplay seems pretty good actually. The "real time with pause" thing versus the old turn-based makes for a more fluid combat, and you can still plan maneuvers as long as you want.

Full game's coming out this February.
