Re: iphone jailbreak
f#$ck yeah, worked!
altrought i had to re-jailbreak the ios5.0.1 but everything went smooth and now it´s on ios 5, jailbroken and unlocked!
i dont know if it will work on iphone 4 and 4s so do it at your own risk

I didn't know they came out with a ios 5 jailbreak yet. I haven't really payed attention since I jailbroke my 4g ipod on 4.2.1 haha. Might have to look into updating and re-jailbreak.mace-x wrote:f#$ck yeah, worked!

Re: iphone jailbreak
nah, that´s a lie, you can reinstall the os and tadaaa, you have a untouched ipod.
altrought, if you change the firmware to the ipad one you´re screwed, that´s unredoable, but you dont need it so be cool
i used redsnow 0.9.10b4 and worked awesome, also you dont need to turn it on with the computer

Ya I thought you could restore. I'm not quite sure but I think you can skin bikes for Mad Skill Motocross (maybe). I remember I was messing around in iFile the other day and saw the png's of the bikes and riders. I just haven't got around to connecting by ssh and putting the files on my computer to see if I could skin them.

Re: iphone jailbreak
I think it was called ssh. Well basically it connects your iphone your computer like a ftp server. From there you have access to all the files on your iphone. You could store files on your iphone if you wanted to but I dont really see the point since it wouln't have any use on your iphone. Its more for using the files from your iphone and editing them (themes, wallpapers, games, apps, hacks, etc.) iFile is a app that gives you access to all the files on your iphone and you can look at them on your iphone. If you know what you are doing you can "hack" some of the games.
Search on google things to do with a jailbroken iphone there should be some useful tips and tutorials that pop up.

Re: iphone jailbreak
I just spent way too long jailbreaking my iPod 2G running iOS 4.2.1. Mainly I just wanted to get emulators on there so I can play classic nintendo games. Has anyone tried using i-FunBox? Part of me thinks that you don't even need to jailbreak to use i-Funbox in order to install .deb files. Truth in this?

Re: iphone jailbreak
Nevermind, just pulled my iPhone up in iFunBox and most of the folder system is unavailable. Nevertheless, fun to play gbc games on my iPod haha.

Re: iphone jailbreak
I am currently running a Gold iPhone 4, 5.0.1 Untethered (RedSn0w) with chocolateHD theme. Also iFunBox is for Windows/Mac and you need to be jail broken to be able to view files inside your phone.
Some recommended tweaks/apps from cydia:
Barrel (when you slide across to a new page you get cool effects)
BytaFont (replace stock fonts with others)
Color Keyboard (get themed keyboards)
Cyntact (shows a picture on the left of your contacts)
Fake Operator (change the name of your service provider)
FolderEnhancer (better folders)
Gridlock (place your icons anywhere on your home screen which is needed for most themes)
iFile (a program inside your phone which you can edit themes, move files, edit files, delete files etc.)
Installous 4 (get any apps from App Store for free and some apps which are not on App Store)
ManualCorrect (doesn't change your spelling, you have to press the word for it to do it.
PasswordPilot (auto-inserts App Store password)
ProTube (complete feature-filled YouTube app)
Safari Upload Enabler (upload files from your phone to websites on safari)
Safari Download Manager (downloads files from safari to custom locations)
SBSettings (all your main settings in 1 swipe at the top of your screen)
Theme it (App Store for themes)
ThemeIconMaker (creates missing app icons for themes)
Winterboard (need this for themes, toggles them on off etc.
If you need anymore help ask me, soon I might start developing my own themes.
