Well, it was a great start to the season with Lorenzo showing a veteran's patience and a masterful job of tire management. Crutchlow looks to be the guy to root for in my camp. I'm also watching Bautista fill in for my fallen hero Simoncelli. Die will no doubt hijack this thread, so, let it be...

I personally never got into MotoGP. I was one of the guys who was Motocross and Motocross only.

I record it on the DVR and watch it at a later date. Give me a few days.

Good start for Spain. Let's see what happens with the arm pump of Casey, I really hope it doesn't cost him many problems.... Solid performance of Fenati in moto3. Damn, second position on his first race ever in the world championship is very impressive. This guy will cause a lot of headache to spanish riders in the future

My bet for the titles:

Moto3: Viñales
Moto2: Marquez
MotoGP: Stoner/Lorenzo


I wish my bet in MotoGP was Pedrosa... but will be very difficult. If Stoner can work out his problem with the arm pump, he'll be, without any doubt, the champion.

Lol motogp is a joke. Everyone knows the real racing is in the moto2 class. Its high time motogp ditches the riding aids. Its no fun watching a race where nobody ever makes even the slightest mistake.

You still need to get the sand out.

The racing sucks in that class flat out. With all the aids the riders become essentially infallible. Its a contest of who has the best bike, not who can ride it the best. The moto2 class is better in that aspect by far.

I've seen red hot rotors on cars, but on a bike that's pretty crazy considering how light they are.

Too much technology. In Moto2 they ALL have the same engine and are given by raffle every three races. So is just about who's the best rider, not the best bike.

Well, you pretty much give the general impression of being unimpressed with all but your ideals. That's why we all love you so much.

So sorry I didn't make a long, drawn out, over descriptive post offering my full opinion.

You'd think a guy typing with one hand, on his cell phone, on lunch break would get a little slack. But this is the internet and everybody is looking for an arguement.

i still havent seen the race...GP or moto 2 or 3. damn having to be at work and Speed's not re-running it enough!

i agree, the bikes have too much technology. im all for furthering the chassis, engine, brakes, and suspension aspect of it. but get rid of the traction control, auto-revmatching, etc and lets really see who can pilot a bike of that caliber. i think Stoner would do well (he slips and slides the Honda anyway!), Spies (wish he wouldnt have crashed twice in practice, i have high hopes for him! if he doesnt do well i think Crutchlow may move up next year...).

it really is crazy how much tech is on the bikes. i actually do like the idea of auto-revmatching. even though blipping the throttle and matching revs isnt hard, it would make it a lot easier to ride. maybe one day it will make its way to street bikes (like TC and adjustable engine mapping). would be fun!

gonna see if i can find the race on the net to watch...

Sorry to derail topic before. While I was looking away, Mick Doohan got real old-looking. I never mentioned the Americans since, of course, I'll be already hoping for their success. Such a deep field in this championship too, hope it aint injury-plagued too. Stoner-Lorenzo battles will be epic, not to mention the rest will be sure have some too.
