Hi people,
I got a question.. today during practice i crashed in a cornor and my bike was upside down.
Then when i came off the track we saw something like oil? on my swingarm, but we tought it was nothing. After that crash i rode 6 more laps and the bike was running fine.
So after i came home my dad made a new airfilter because i have a race tomorrow and the airfilter + air box was wet?!
It doesn't smell like motor oil or gasoline...

Anyone knows what this means?

It's gas, or water if you landed in a puddle. Either way dry it out really good and clean that air filter.

To be sure, check your oil and water levels. See if it's missing any. Clean everything up really good and monitor it. Could be brake fluid, water, oil, antifreeze, etc.

it could also be Pee from the crash haha

Some bike lose flued when they're down, at the bottem of the engine there are some 'tubes'. That's maybe the strange liquid thingy.

But I don't know shit about mechanics, I don't even have a clue whats leaking out of those tubes so don't trust me .

I checked all the oil and waterlevels, everything was fine..
I cleaned it and putted a new filter in it thanks anyway for the help people! Hope my bike stays OK tomorrow

What were the track conditions like? It could just be water if the track was wet.

i assume you're talking about the overflow tubes and that would be gas coming out of them.

Coolant from the radiators also comes out of an overflow tube under the bike.

On my Hondas If I lay it over in a corner or wad my brains it pumps te over flow oil into the air box. Just clean it up and make sure it's all topped off and you should be good.

Check where your overflow pipes are routed if it does that. They should exit under the bike so maybe yours are routed incorrectly or are too short.

Do you Just put the filter in there or do you treat it with air filter oil first?

on a stock honda, the breather for the engine oil exits the head, then comes to a t. From this t, one tube runs down to the engine and rests in some clips with a plug in it, the other tube runs to the airbox. The bottom portion is where the oil is supposed to collect, however if you forget to pull that plug and drain the bottom tube once in a while, or as wilson stated, crash in any manner that the upper tube becomes the lower tube, you will get oil in the box. At most you probably just have to top the oil off.
