Restart maybe?
Or do a defrag, or just let your computer think about what it has done for a day, and it may feel bad and decide to work correctly.

Maybe you have a stuck cooling fan. After 10 minutes it would start to get hot.

Bingo. if you cooling fan was stuck then it would begin to overheat causing computer issues. After 5-10 minutes see if you can hear an increase in fan speed. you should be able to hear it go from brmmmmmm to BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!Mikey wrote:JLV your most probly right btu would it slow it down? or is apart of the computer so it dont over heat?

It depends on the CPU. Some will underclock themselves to keep cool while others will just fry.Mikey wrote:JLV your most probly right btu would it slow it down? or is apart of the computer so it dont over heat?

try taking you case off and spraying some canned air on your fans and blow the dust off of them. Just don't hit anything else.

If you do spray your fans, put a pencil or something in it, so the fans don't spin. If the fans spin, it will generate a back current, whick can cause damage to your motherboard

To turn off v-sync it depends on your gfx card. I run Nvidia so I am not sure how to do it for ATI cards.
Nvidia Control panel
3d settings
Advanced
You should see a stack of things listed there like AA - AF etc - scroll down and you will come to Vertical Sync - ON - click that on part and a drop down box opens and turn it off - then apply.
