That video is pure gold! That range of years they covered includes basically all of the bikes I really like, and is cram-packed with legendary names and wins. In particular, that 1979 race in which Lackey blows past Mikkola right by the grandstands is legendary. It was covered in On Any Sunday II and was particularly dramatic, given that Lackey had been having extremely bad luck with his equipment breaking down that season. Then after that, Marty Moates' victory was particularly surprising, given that Moates was virtually a total nobody compared to Lackey and a lot of the European dudes racing for the championship.
