You sure are clear with your posts Jeff.

Some people are just arrogant and cannot reason to save their life. We rode at my house for over 10 years without complaints, which about 3 or 4 consisted of my neighbor riding with us as well. When my brothers were training, they really didnt have any problems. Cops came every now and then to check up and see how we were doing. We never rode at dark, usually done by 4-5 at the latest. A couple years ago our neighbors started bitching about the 'noise' more than ever and my brothers stopped riding big bikes a couple years prior to that. We only have been riding PITBIKES, klx110s, on my 10 acre property. To my neighbors, it probably sounds like a push mower from the inside of their house. Took us to court, being the unreasonable fuck heads they are and of course did not show up for the hearing. We won. They got our other neighbors against us as well and filed another hearing. We had enough of the bitching and offered to draw a line and limit our PITBIKES to stock exhausts and not to ride after dark, which we hadn't done before. It is just really dumb and an inconvenience to settle it in a court room when you can just go up to your neighbor, speak honestly and come to an agreement. It isn't that fucking hard but people just can't get over themselves. From experience I think this is a waste of time for reed and the court. Totally unnecessary when they have other shit to be dealing with instead of bitchy neighbors who can't learn to speak with one another but instead take it up with a court. Dumb

I don't understand why someone with Reed's money would build a house near anyone else's. You know they're going to whine and complain about noise, especially since he rides a four stroke and Florida is full of rich, old, retired people. Just buy even more land out in the middle of nowhere and build more tracks and not have to deal with the BS of the general populace.
That guy on the two stroke

I ve heard about that shit going on with Reed and his neighbours. Its pretty much the same here, where i live. People always bitch around, because they re envious in what we have and do. Most of them cant even afford a pitbike, and so they think:
If we cant ride, then others shouldnt ride aswell. Its pretty dumb in my opinion, that people actually care. I mean if you hear music all day long until 9 pm, they cant do a shit against it in germany.
and even if you buy a house in teh middle of nowhere, there comes another friend of the family... the nature guards...
its how it is, you cant do anything against 'em

We had the same issue with our local track last year. The track was put basically in the middle of nowhere 30 years ago then people built houses right next to the track within the last 10 years and complain about the noise. We were there first and they couldn't see it that way

There's some development going on by the track that I ride in the summer. There's a whole OHV park, and then a separately owned track next to that, but there is stuff being built like a kilometer away. I don't know if it's even that far. There is fire hydrants up already, so I'm guessing there's going to be some new houses being put in. The tracks are probably gonna get shut down whenever people start moving in.

Pretty much. People that dont ride are aholes. Anyone who rides or ever has appreciates it and doesnt mind the noise. The only people who should be shut down are the ones who ride down paved roads after midnight without a baffle. :D

Going to play the devils advocate here. Imagine you didnt ride dirtbikes and you werent into them at all and then for hours on end every day all you can hear in your house is a bunch of motocross bikes and karts being ridden at full throttle. It's naive of you to think that this wouldnt start to become very annoying, especially after hearing it for years. I dont think what Andy said about people being jealous is true at all, a 50 year old couple are hardly going to be jealous of a guy having a kart track. The fact that Chad is seemingly breaking the rules of the agreement from a few years ago would also be a pretty big slap in the face if you lived nearby.

Comments such as "Them stupid fucks live next to Chad Reed! Embrace it!" are so idiotic it's laughable

I'm still on Reeds side though and hope that he is allowed to keep using the facility to its full potential but you have to appreciate where the neighbours are coming from. It's not like it's just a race track that only gets ridden on a sunday. During the east coast rounds the supercross tracks will probably be getting ridden every day of the week by multiple guys. You can bet your house that Reed is going to throw everything he has at this case though, he's spent too much time and money on the facility to be told that he cant use it anymore. He probably has more money to fight with than the neighbours fighting against him and you can guaruntee that he will dispute any decision made against him. The fact that he isnt even willing to stop using the kart track untill the hearing shows that he isnt going to take this sitting down!

I do find it a bit silly that he didn't just say he wouldn't drive the karts, especially when it has pretty much no bearing on his racing performance.

Wasn't actually being serious but ok. Seems like he's being a bit big headed about it but we don't really know his side of the story.
