Going to a track for the first time [Tips?]
Alright guys finally got a Rmz-250 and everything i need to go to a track as far as gear and stuff, but id like some tips since i'm kinda nervous and not sure how it works at a track if that makes sense? hopefully you guys can give me some helpful tips on riding on a real track the 1st time or just in general for going to a track. Thanks guys in advance.

If you roll a double be sure to either roll it right down the middle or to cross over from left to right in between the two jumps. And take the normal race lines. Like if your coming into a right handed corner start on the right side of the track cross all the ruts when you get to the corner to get to the outside of the track and them make your turn. Ruts are slow and dangerous so you want to avoid them at all costs. That's all I really know, I'm not that good at motocross.

Lol. Totally messing with you. DO NOT do either of those things.
Pretty much just do what you do in sim to have a successful race. Ride within your limits and predictably so faster riders know what you're going to do.

With the double thing...
If it is a jump out of a corner, try to take the inside and stay inside if you aren't jumping. Lots of guys will go inside and fade outside when they jump, so rolling it on the outside could get you into trouble.
Most of all, ride PREDICTABLY! Stay in your line and don't try to get out of the fast guys' way. If you stay in your line they will get around you just fine.

alright ill probably pull off to the side and watch how some of the guys take their lines and stuff in that case so then i can kinda get a idea of what there normal line is so i can be out of the way. i think i will be fairly good as far as jumps go. Thanks Wheelswheels1758 wrote:With the double thing...

Have you ever ride before? If you have never ride before i would say you could try to learn to ride straights on a grass field. If you already did that, then ALWAYS stay on your lines, so if you are entering a jump on the left, stay left. Faster riders will probably avoid you easily, and have fun

Yeah, don't rush things, go step by step, one jump at a time, I guess that would work.

and yea Kawasakis the best idea is probably just to roll the jumps a few times and get a idea of the landing and the face and try to go for it.
