Im pullin a DDavis

I've heard conversation coming out of animal pens that is more intelligent than what is going on in here.

Im pullin a DDavis

Post by supercross711 »

Thinking about buying a bike again. Suggestions? was thinking around a 2011 kx250f. Looking on craigslist so need to be realistic, not going to find a KTM 150 on there or anything haha.

What are your guys thoughts on the yzf? I had a Kxf and I found it to be a lot better than a Crf, a little better than an Rmz but I haven't tried a yzf.

Don't blame you. They handle good at the bottom end but they're really slow there and in top end they handle like shit yet thats were the power is supposed to be.

I ride the 2013Crf 250r and it handles like a champ, corners a perfect.. The only thing I can complain about is the head shake the front end gets

I'm going to get a YZ250 when I can afford a used one. No need to get a 4 stroke if you just want to blow out some berms and "sound" fast.

Yeah lol..tracks around here are worthless to a 2 stroke rider. Huge disadvantage even for the person who just wants to putt around. Maybe if you're riding on flat ground, like most shit tracks in cali, then a 2 stroke wouldn't be so bad lol

Good to see you're getting back into riding.

I ride a 2009 Yz250f, it's pretty much all stock except a Yoshimura RS-4. I have no complaints at all, it's been super reliable and a really good bike. The suspension is great for being stock, once you dial in your clicker settings it's awesome. A great choice of bike for sure. If you're buying used make sure the seller knows his stuff about bikes, I've seen too many people buy used bikes and they turn out to be junk.

Ride on!

Well I think 2011 kx250f was the best one of the 250f's that year, couple years in a row actually.

I know the 2011 Kawis had a clutch problem. No biggie, those were still good bikes. Pro Circuit makes heavier duty clutch springs for those that are pretty cheap. I liked the 12 Kawi better than the 11 (never had one of either, just rode a few friends' bikes) and the 13 (which I have) has noticeably more torque than the 11 and 12. Depending on how much money you're looking to spend, I'd try to find at least a 12, but an 11 would be just fine.
