KTM Factory Tour (general europe suggestions too)

I've heard conversation coming out of animal pens that is more intelligent than what is going on in here.

KTM Factory Tour (general europe suggestions too)

Post by DJ99X »

Has anyone ever done this? Wanna share details on it?

Spending two weeks in euro land, was planning on heading to Salzburg to see The Eagle's Nest (aka Hitler's mad sikk party house on a cliff), and apparently the KTM factory is pretty close.

Also, any other recommendations on what to see over in yurope?

I can recommend you to come to visit Austria. I think especially Americans and Australiens will like the nature with all the hills and stuff.
Also in Salzburg there is a pretty nice track where our MX3 World Champ is training there nearly every week ;). Salzburg is probably a good place to check out.

Well, my plan was to travel down from Amsterdam to Paris, but I'm keen to make the trip out that way for those two things. As sib said, I'm pretty keen to see the mountains out there too.

OK Well I'll just list some paces that I've been and place i'd like to visit then you can see if any aren't to far off the beaten track for you.

Berlin the museums mainly and just the history of the place is worth a visit.

Spa in Belgium where F1 is held is an very beautiful place. not much apart from the nice scenery though.

Nurburgring is great lots of cafes and views over the old track. Also there's a ring taxi (passenger lap in a BMW) which is expensive but worth a go (according to a friend)

Never been to Paris but Eiffel tower plus the architecture and museums in Paris are very good again according a friend

Amsterdam is a very beautiful place if not off your nuts

Assen north of Amsterdam is a great place lots of pubs and motorcycle/motogp etc... related stuff.

Never been to Barcelona but that's on my own list. I your able to visit got to La Sagrada Família Cathedral.

I wish in ad the money to explore europe myself more often as its a very nice place outside the UK of course

Just a small 1200 mile detour

Are you driving? I've spent a lot of time in the Black Forest in south west Germany and it is easily my favourite place on the planet. It looks like you'll be passing through it if you drive from Salzburg to Paris.

I've been to Paris but I've been fairly disappointed in the Eiffel tower to be honest..
If you're going to Paris I'd say you'd take the boat trip over there at night(I forgot the name of it), then you see the Eiffel tower light up and other buildings aswell, wich was pretty cool.

Also if you want a nice view over Paris, go to Tour Montparnasse, its a 210-meter (689 ft) office skyscraper with a very very fast elevator to get you to the top.

Ofcourse there's Notre Dame, Arc de triomphe, Montmartre (a graveyard with massive graves and some famous people aswell) Père-Lachaise (also a graveyard)

You can also visit the Catacombs of Paris (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catacombs_of_Paris)

Champs elysees, Versailles

And!! If you travel to Belgium, there's Fort Eben-Emael (if you are interested in WorldWar2 stuff, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fort_Eben-Emael)
I just put that there because my dad's a tourguide overthere :P
