Hey guys,
I'm heading off to college soon and it's time for me to finally get a laptop of my own. I need it to do the typical college BS, but I would also like to play a little MXS every now and then. I'm not very savvy when it comes to computer specs so I just need someone's input on what I should get. I just need something that I can rely on through school and also run games such as MXS or maybe even GTA V and run 3D modelling software. My budget is around $700.
Thanks

Re: Computer Help
Can you save up any more money? You can probably get something that would work (barely) for $700 but since upgrading is very hard/impossible I would suggest buying at a slightly higher price point so you don't feel like you need to buy another computer in 6 months.
My recommendation is $1000, that is really the low end of "gaming" Laptops (also good for 3d modeling, PS, etc.).
If not, I suggest finding something that is old new stock. Generally you can get some really good deals just because it isn't the best of the best since it is a year or two old technology. At the same time it will perform better than a similarly priced computer made with the bottom of the barrel components from this generation of CPUs/GPUs.
Hope that helps.

Re: Computer Help
Thanks for the reply. I'll look around for some stuff but I'll probably end up getting a decent laptop and save up to build a desktop in the future. I doubt I'll even need 3D modeling software until my later years in school.
Thanks again
