Buying MXSimulator products thoughts
Firstly, anyone who creates stuff you are awesome, you do a great job and well done
Secondly, what is up with kids buying stuff for this game at crazy prices and not just one but many like it's one of them bop it toys from when I was a child that taught young girls how not to give a hand job? I'm only just hearing about these shenanigans as I'm starting to fade away from sim and focus on other things and if you kids are paying X amount of money for a bike, skin, gear, boots, helmet or even name on Jersey feel free to hit me up I have many, many, many tracks on my computer you guys can have (be aware it will take some convincing for me to get on and be bothered to upload it for you doe haha)but some extra money to buy textbooks would be premo as them fuckers are expensive. Oh and that leads me to why are you guys not buying tracks or are you? I mean I have a lot more fun playing a wicked compound then looking at some new boots or helmet or bike I bought on my computer screen and tagging away like there ain't no tommorow **debate me if you want**. I mean back in the day we would tell old mate in vent to make us some gear for 10 or 20 buckaroonies but not what kids are willing to pay now. I remember the days when we got in teamspeak, vent and the one before vent and would just rip on each other until someone disconnected as they couldn't take it (thumpin was the man at this), prank calling randoms, awkwardly as hell talking to them and coincidently there shit being stolen and then the cops onto the prank caller (not gonna name names but I fair few will guess/ know who the man is haha), or even in vent pissing off Jamal to the point he would ban you and you would have to download hot spot shield to continue annoying him and then later you guys are all cool. Was some kickass fun as a minor on a Friday night and beats paying for shit and training in 03 to be the next Tyson as he is the McGrath of sim let's be honest or the next stocksy (let's be honest his 2012 mxon debut was historical if you were in teamspeak with Brady and I and I'm sure others when we called up Toby a few days before the race while he was driving home and hadn't played sim in months to race for Australia, and then coming out going 1-1 was something pretty hilarious and good/ cool/ amazing), or even shack, who is more of a Bob Hannah kind of guy as he dominated in the early days from recollection haha.
Anyway back on topic, people who pay what do you have to say? Creators what do you have to say? Inbetweeners what do you have to say? And people who have nothing to do with this what do you have to say?
What is everyone's thoughts? And yes I have nothing against the creators and I want to congratulate you on earning money from a video game.
Thank god for iPad/ apple autocorrection as my drunkenness English would not be on point haha

Haha shit storm topics are fun!
I'll add my 2 cents just help out your discussion and/or shit storm here Korey.
Not that it matters the subject is never going to change it will probably always be a controversial topic, which is why I will comment.
In my opinion public releases should be free, it would be too expensive otherwise and no one would support it. It would help the growth of the game/community also, but I'm not talking source files just a pack. Graphic packs, stock bike packs, etc. Legally/morally you probably shouldn't sell something for a price value if a) it's a real product for ex. "I'm selling a model 2015 CRF 250f" b) you plan on releasing it for free at a later date or c) you have multiple people working on it.
Now imo source files should be bought or the creator can decide against it all together. I really think this would lower the rate of goon skins, immaturity, and ripping. People would make sure they know what they are doing before they waste money on a source file (e.i. actually go through the tutorials thread) and it would motivate people to keep making things, release top public for free, and then get money for THIER source files. So instead of "I'm selling my crf250 model" it's "I'm selling my source files for my free crf250". Now if you are a creator who would rather release stuff for free just for the pure enjoyment of being awesome, good for you, you are a better person than I am.
There are some negatives to this method though: 1.) you would need to insure scram files (we know how people feel about that) because heaven forbid people can respect one another and not steal someones work. 2.) People giving out source files after they bought it (not sure why anyone would give something away for free that they payed for) 3.)Everyone would bitch and moan because they think they are entitled to everything for free and that creators are just selfish pricks that want control, glory, and money.
Damn this is a really boring friday morning...

I like the idea. Release a stock bike as a preview and from there people can buy the source files. Really like the idea mason, but sorry to tell you, I still run Andy's stock Kawi hahaha so you haven't got my sale haha
Thanks for supporting my shit storm haha

Re: Buying MXSimulator products thoughts
So yeah overall I couldn't agree more with you Korey! SIM has pretty much become the total opposite to what it's been quite some time ago! Fucked up if you ask me!
There are so many fucked up kids now that are willing to spend loads of money for some stuff like helmets, boots, etc. In the end of the day you're not having anything to be proud of. More like something to be ashamed of that you spend your money on! 150$ for a set of graphics that are supposed to be run by a small team of royal douches?! Are you serious?
I mean it's not such a huge deal to make some quality stuff on your own. Get your lazy asses up and start learning how to make something that you could be proud of!
Jerking off because you bought something exclusive for MX Sim is NOT COOL!

Re: Buying MXSimulator products thoughts
I remember when people would make graphics and gear for other teams for the fun of it, and then people started to say "I'll give you 10 bucks for that gear!" and the people making bikes and gear started thinking, "hey! I can make money at this?"... okay, pay me $50 for this gear. Now you're lucky to get ANYTHING made for free, even a simple pair of goggles or your name/number on a jersey.

If you have positive relations with the people who you expect to make stuff for you this is typically not an issue.Ddavis wrote:I remember when people would make graphics and gear for other teams for the fun of it, and then people started to say "I'll give you 10 bucks for that gear!" and the people making bikes and gear started thinking, "hey!
