motocross stadium project / hall / depot / building

Post by uriel86 »

ok guys, i wish to make project (autocad for projection/ sections and 3d max for visualization) of motocross stadium (super cross) like for example birmingham sx. It will be project for my studies. The problem is i have no idea about infrastructure of this kind of building.
So any information about this would be welcome here. I mean :
technical rooms like bike garage etc, entrances for spectators and for teams/ riders, other infrastructure, any jpgs from this kind of objects

Ty in advice

I upload attachment with my gymnasium project i did half year ago so u will know i' m not joking. I kno i suck with 3d max visualization and my arch tallent is poor but i hope i will "level up". My teacher said we must do a project of building for 20000 people so I decided to make MX stadium.

Wow sounds like a really cool project.

I would say the best idea would be to pick a stadium that will have a lot of reference photos. Basically I would go for either a football or baseball stadium that they also use for SX.

Angel Stadium (Which holds 3 AMA SX races every year) would be pretty good choice, I know there are heaps of photos there. Also people around here might have photos of the stadium - I know mittocs goes there for some SX races. Heres a few I found in less than 10 seconds

If you intend to get it into MXS there might be a bit of an issue because of the high detail you will be using, Also you will need to UV map it AND skin it. I would absolutely love to see if it ran on my computer though, nothing has slowed it down yet.

Goodluck and keep us updated :D

I think he wants something that is made more specifically for sx, not baseball and football stadiums. Here's one that's in WI ;) http://www.sandboxarena.com/facility/theInside.aspx. There are other photos and videos on the site too.

Are you looking for an open-air stadium, or a dome, or does it matter? If you want a dome, the Georgia dome has some very cool features, but also is not overly complicated. I can't find any pics of the actual insides of the building, and I've never had the chance to go down below to tell you what it looks like. Hope this helps.
