Can you convert sim settings into real like settings?
So, basically. I want to test my mx sim settings on my irl bike.
But, how would one ago about converting a slider in sim, to clickers on a real bike.
I'm aussimung 100 would be the max clicks and 0 being 0. But what would be the math for each individual setting?
I.e, the spring rate being at 45 in game. What settings could that be converted into to apply in a real life situation?
JLV this is a question for you, but if anyone else has any info or ideas, feel free to add to the thread. Because I'm sure some of you have thought of trying this.

Damn, I wish I had of proof read this. Put to much faith into auto correct, iPhones are useless.

The actual values are ghosted inside the meter bar for each setting. For example, kg/mm in the spring rates, ##.##mm in the fork oil level, etc.

I think most bikes have like 15 clicks of damping adjustment, so if you do some quick math about every 7 increments in Sim is 1 click. I definitely wouldn't recommend turning your compression and rebound damping all the way in.

Your settings in sim are likely going to be awful in real life, because sim doesn't factor in weight, and if you may be fast in simulator but a novice rider IRL, then your suspension would likely be stiff, but if your setup is soft in sim then you will wallow around and ride around in the midstroke. That was definitely a run-on sentence.

Is there a way to unghost the settings?ShackAttack12 wrote:The actual values are ghosted inside the meter bar for each setting. For example, kg/mm in the spring rates, ##.##mm in the fork oil level, etc.

If you did this it'd most likely be unbelievably stiff. I'm running 5.6 Something fork spring rates on sim and 4.5 on my yz250f

It'd be stiff for sure, but still fun to test.ryanmx25 wrote:If you did this it'd most likely be unbelievably stiff. I'm running 5.6 Something fork spring rates on sim and 4.5 on my yz250f

Weight of what? It factors both rider and bike weight so I'm not sure what other weights there are to measure?MaicoBreako wrote:Your settings in sim are likely going to be awful in real life, because sim doesn't factor in weight, and if you may be fast in simulator but a novice rider IRL, then your suspension would likely be stiff, but if your setup is soft in sim then you will wallow around and ride around in the midstroke. I'm not sure man factory connection had my spring rates one too stiff when we first sent it out and it was hellonefoureight wrote:It'd be stiff for sure, but still fun to test.ryanmx25 wrote:If you did this it'd most likely be unbelievably stiff. Re: Can you convert sim settings into real like settings?
The damping adjustments won't match the clickers at all. It just increases or decreases the damping over the entire speed range with the minimum being half the damping and the maximum being double. It's more like a revalve or a different oil weight than a clicker adjustment.
The springs and oil level should be realistic, but remember a 100' jump feels small in MXS so the game settings tend to be way stiffer than real life.
