Play MXS Multiplayer via Ethernet Crossover Cable?

Hey guys,

How would you go about playing MXS on a LAN connection between two computers? I know you can buy a crossover cable to connect the two to create a network for file sharing and such, but would this allow like a 2 player connection on MXS without internet?

My main question is, once they're connected together, how would you know the address you're suppose to connect to in the game? Would it just be one of the computer's IP addresses?

Any help? Thanks!

Ahh shoot, just read that you need to be connected to the Internet for this work for mxs since it needs to verify the regkeys. Bummer!

Just like a CAT6 cable. Ethernet cable. Got a set up hooked up in our camper at Millville. Just using a phone hotspot for it to verify keys.
