Well I would not ride as fast for sure, but practicing on a smoother track is not a good idea for pros. Do you think at nationals that the tracks are gonna be as smooth as that? don't think so.
It is better to train on really rough tracks...

yeah i think he knows what is best for him !, ride a smooth track 1 day aint too bad, smooth track = wide open, and thats good for training
