2015 RedBull Straight Rhythm
Just rewatched last year's and got pretty stoked for this weekend! Anyone here going? Predictions?
I'm really excited to see Musquin on the 450! I think it's going to come down to him and James. With Marvin's confidence coming off the MXoN win and Stewart's hunger to go racing and also defend his title, I think those two will be at the top. Then again, how would Dungey respond to getting beat by his new 450 teammate?
I've never really thought of Dungey as much of a scrubbing guy, so I think that's going to hurt him since you need to scrub everything here!
Jesse Nelson was pretty good last year but I think Mookie's got the 250 class covered.

RIP no Travis Pastrana is my prediction. Think Steward bros might sweep it.

Leib and Scharer qualified last weekend at Pala (on Friday of last week)aeffertz wrote: two additional riders from Friday's qualifying races (Michael Leib, Brandon Scharer, Broc Shoemaker, Zac Commans, Axell Hodges, Dare Demartile)
I think Stew and Stew own it. If Roczen hadn't been chilling offseason after a long year while JS7 is itching to race something it may be different. I think Brayton will be his next biggest challenger (good in the whoops and high intensity short spurt speed... see SX timed qualifying as an example).
I honestly wouldn't be shocked to see Jordan Smith win the 250, he isn't scared to go for it which will help match him more evenly with Malcolm in the whoops. Eliminating mistakes will be key elsewhere for both those guys. I think Nelson would be the other main player, more consistent but lacking a bit in the whoops and raw blasting through shit speed.

Are you sure? I thought it was rained out. This was posted to Transworld on Sunday (a few days ago)checkerz wrote:Leib and Scharer qualified last weekend at Pala (on Friday of last week)

We made the call to send six guys to Friday’s qualifying session at Red Bull Straight Rhythm in Pomona, where they’ll now compete for the final two spots.

1. RV moved up to 450's before Dungey.
2. Those two were never even team mates.

Ha, they showed media and everything of those guys holding their invite tickets. Guess someone was upset and convinced them to do it differently.aeffertz wrote:Are you sure? Your dreaming while typing bud, it never happened.
Im excited for this more this year than last. Pastrana was cool for the novelty aspect but I never thought he had a chance against any of the top sx pro's and was correct.
Dungey doesnt scrub much BUT I know he can, have full confidence in that. I also think he is a better rider than most people there especially coming off of a great year of championships. But JS7 always has that extra speed and since this is a short race, I can see consistancy not really needed, so James has a better chance for that fact I think.
Im also very eager to see Marvin on the big bike.

The classes are pretty stacked. I'm gonna go for JS7 but it would be pretty cool to see if dungey can hang with him. We all know the Stewart brothers kill in whoops so that'll be a big advantage. Also excited to see how Axell Hodges can do against the pros. Gonna be some good racing

What never happened? Dungey lost to RV, lots of times. I remember it.
