When you use someone else's password without consent...

I've heard conversation coming out of animal pens that is more intelligent than what is going on in here.

When you use someone else's password without consent...

Post by jlv »

...you just crossed the line from joke to crime. ADHK and Blitz have both been banned for two weeks for doing just that. That is _very_ lenient. In most places criminal activity would rightfully earn you a permanent ban.

It was a joke. They made a thread called New Zealand where they used Mikey's account to say how much he loves New Zealand. They also changed his signature and avatar. Funny, but not so funny to be worth committing a crime.

the definition of Identity Theft

•When an unauthorized party fraudulently represents themselves as another party

We definitely don't need to start getting into hacking one another's accounts. Like JLV said, a 2 week ban is very leniant. Hopefully that will go as a warning to the entire community.

I really shouldn't be posting this, but the other side to this coin is this:

practical joke: A mischievous trick played on a person, especially one that causes the victim to experience embarrassment, indignity, or discomfort.

Although I do kinda think this crosses the line, or at least teeters on it.

Practical jokes are fine as long as they are legal. This one wasn't.
