Sound problems?

Hey everyone, I found that my speakers weren't working, and when I open the Volume Control, it says:

There are no active mixer devices available. to install blahblahblah, go to blahblahblah add hardware.

It just happened and I can't figure it out. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yea...the sound just stopped when i was watching a Vurb Moto video.
