Peace Corps
I was just wondering if any of you knew anyone who went into the Peace Corps, or a similar type program that allowed them to branch out and see the world, or a different part of it at least, and how they live. Anyone working with National Geographic would be another interesting point to hear about. I'm thinking in about 5 years after school and debt is payed off this might be a route I want to take.

Re: Peace Corps
My Environmental Science teacher from highschool did it. He ended up going to Kenya, Zimbabawe, and South Africa. He said he enjoyed it. He was a part of a team that worked with agriculture and helped develop farmland, and also was a classroom teacher.

Re: Peace Corps
I have a couple buddies who just got back from the Peace Corps. One was stationed in Kazakhstan, and the other in South America. They both signed up for two years.
From what I hear from them, it is a great experience. They did have to get used to a completely different style of living and obviously try to learn their language. They have some crazy stories about the lifestyle that some other countries live in.
I'll try to get some pictures and/or more info for you, in the next day or two.

that would be sweet man! i really would like to take on an opportunity like this after i get school paid off. the ability to learn a different language, live a different culture, and grow as a person seems intruiging to me.
