They say EFI= Eventually Fuel Injected. The bike got an all new swingarm, rear hub, axle, and linkage. The motor had no major updates, just minor, like shift forks and stator backing plate. Says the quietest MX bike you can buy. They took off about 2lbs. in the rear of the bike. The '09 front suspension is identical to last years stuff. Yamaha says if the rider weighs 170lbs, that is perfect for this years bike. Rear tires are coming with a 120/80-19 Dunlop 756. They test 3 exhausts, Yoshimura, FMF, & DR. D. FMF is the best for the '09 YZ450f. The posivites, Quiet, Stable, Excellent suspension, Light, Good Carburetion. The negatives, Sleepy power, Mediocre in tight turns.

Not necessarily.
Having EFI doesn't need more fuel, but if the conditions require you to run more fuel, then yes, it's a gas hog. But, then again, if you can afford a 09 bike, then I'm sure your not too worried about paying for the gas. :/

The 125's have lighter motors but slightly heavier rear wheels compared with the 250f's.

How come they have more weight at the back? Do you have to do this to get it balanced right?
