Tangled with Villopoto off the start. Completely exausted on the last lap and went down hard. Didn't make it. Josh you are the king of Michigan!

He literally died for his sport, I don't even know what to say..

A crash didn't kill him. Heat stroke did.

Lichtle tangled with Ryan Villopoto and Tommy Hahn in the first turn of Lap one, but recovered and was making his way up in the pack before collapsing on his bike on turn 18 of the 10th and final lap. Lichtle got up and tried to restart his bike, but fell again and began going into heat-related seizures. He was treated by the track doctor and on-site EMTs before being taken to nearby Saint Joseph's Medical Center.

josh was the first real "known/famous" amateur i ever saw at a track back in the day, he was a rad dude thats fersure, i hope this might change some rules and settings for MX though like i read somewhere so nothing else happens like this again.
