Re: 2016 rF Pro MotoOption and Am FAMmx Supercross Series
Thanks for the feedback ^^^^ ( last two commenters )
I would expect the triple ins to be difficult on a 250, many guys IRL won't jump them on a 250 especially consistently, and even less often when it's a 3 foot face over a 5 foot landing. Perhaps this would be made less punishing if we could work on the transition between the 2nd and third jumps to make going 2 in and then tripling a bit easier.
The whoops are different because the whoops at each round, and each set of them are different. They also are the most challenging thing on the track. A lot of the issues are likely setup based. I had no issues with them when built, but then changed my setup to be better on the rest of the track and it became garbage in the whoops. Again, just like IRL, suspension setup for SX is honestly sorta terrible just to be good in the whoops.
Expect the whoops to continue to vary each round.
Jump spacing is something that is somewhat based on jump shapes as much as anything as far as how much room between. We'll continue to refine these I'm sure, but this is pretty close to where it should be IMO.
Part of the difficulty is also do to the design having more rhythms. Round 2 just by design is much more simplistic.
I'm sure there are parts of each track guys will and won't like, but as a whole, it'd be tough to convince me that we aren't setup for the best tracks the series has ever seen.
Cheers fellas.

I suck at this track but I really like it. If you do manage to run laps without crashing, it's pretty fun. My only problem that isn't obviously me is the whoops. They're really big and spaced out farther than usual which makes it easy to dip if you're trying to go slow and stay under control but if you go faster it seems like you're almost guaranteed to loop your Larry, and that's a little annoying. It flows well though. Stephen and Chris, you guys did a good job. I'm very excited for the rest of the season.

Here's my opinion (Checkerz please don't roast me
)
POSITIVES
-Whoops don't change anything.. PLEASE. They add the extra difficulty to racing where you actually need to check up and hit them correct.
-Triples are fairly difficult at first but after playing for some time these booters are the tits mcgee I love em.
-Sand feels great, the traction seems spot on.
-Berms feel great.
Negatives
-The rhythm sections feel entirely forced to one specific line. The moment your not in the "main line" your forced to double double etc.
-Not sure if it's the decals or actually the jumps but the 3 footers, the transition from flat to lip look to me like an over sized whoop.
-Track Layout just blows.
-The last single in first and last rhythm sections seem very harsh for what they are. Seems like I'm just sending to the moon every time I come into to berms.

Love the track, though. Traction is awesome.

100% agree but as checkerz mentioned they migth make it easier to go 2-3 in sections.aeffertz wrote:That was my only gripe.Bhardy448 wrote:The rhythm sections feel entirely forced to one specific line. The moment your not in the "main line" your forced to double double etc.

I think the track is nearly perfect... I cant find anything wrong with it on a 250.
The triple ins arent too hard or too easy, the variation of whoops are perfect for racing and the traction is A1.

Honestly, I am having no fun playing this track. I understand that you guys are going for realism and everything but I think there is a point where it gets to realistic for the game to handle, it is just a game. I think the traction is spot on and the sand is cool and I love the whoops but the rhythms are messed up IMO. The transitions dont flow at all and the jumps are so small I just flat land every jump in the rhythm. I feel like supercross rhythms should flow more instead of having a flat gap in the middle of the jumps. I also can't even use the downsides of the jumps in the rhythms cause the landings are so small unless it is a 5 footer to a 3 footer. I like the whoops but when the whoops are half a foot smaller then the rhythms, its a little crazy. I hope you guys can make the tracks more fun again cause this one isn't at all.

Track is fun and the new style is something new to learn so thats fun! Goodjob checkerz
my only thing that I would like to say is that the transitions are a little goofy in the rhythms but other than that its a good change!

Well, I figured I was close, what with the ragged, simple sentence structure, the misuse of expletives etc. I knew something was rotten in Denmark(nuthin' against yall neither).Ohagan75 wrote:He's a bloody Euro, not an Aussie.

Any updates on when signups and qualifying will start? And what format qualifying will be?

I just cant get the quads for some reason, I've never had issues hitting the big lines before. For some reason these rhythms are just doing my head in haha.

This track is spot on. I think the perfect balance between getting a realistic scale while still bringing a fun, rideable, race able track. If you're complaining about this stellar piece of work these guys have put out then you either have a bad setup, are too afraid of change, or have never been to a supercross race in person and seen how tight and "lippy" the tracks actually are versus watching on tv. You might say the jumps are undersized but it mimics the real tracks very well I think. Oh and sorry you can't blitz the whoops consistently like in the past. The crew did a great job in forcing you to navigate them more cautiously each lap while not killing you either. Hope to see you guys master these style of tracks and can't wait for Thursday!
