haha i think we all need to calm down as we have already nearly breached copyright laws with mva models and now we're trying to start a cashpot race on a forum that has no gambling rights or license  its only a game, games=free fun while sat on your ass!

Guys theres no gambling. Theres online sim races with cash/prizes you win all the time in rFactor, LFS, and now iRacing. Hell ive seen iPods, PS3's, and even real life driving experiences given away. I was thinking maybe a 30-50$ prize given to 1st maybe a little less if i spread between top finishers.

Soo the winner will get prize money..but theres no entrance fee? (i hope so).
Sounds like a good idea, should draw in a lot more people to racing.

Just remember though, this sort of stuff could lead you into legal stuff if something goes wrong.

But yeah it sounds like a good idea.

I dont know how good of an idea putting up money is but I definatly think it would be worth while to try to get some industry people involved. I dont know if any of you played the series on exost.com, they had a gay little flash mx game. They gave away weekly prizes to the top 3, like stickers,hats,t-shirts... at the end of the seires I belive I placed 3rd, I won a whole new set of race gear from decal works, full yamaha of troy team graphic kit for my bike, renthal handlebars, ogio backpack, and a few more misc hats and shirts. The guy that ran the site just had these items donated, and just advertised the company names in the forum and on the flyer for the seires. I dont see why something like that couldnt happen. I would be willing to throw up some of the products I do..

i dont know this idea just came to mind

you could have the three classes and keep track of those points
then for the teams you add all there points together and you have a champion team
then you could take only the privateers and them otgether so that team owners could see who the fastest privateers are and then ya

Say what?

I planned on giving some awards out at the end of the season. Top privateer for each class, most improved over all, most consistant over all, as well as A class 1-3 B Class 1-3 and C Class 1-3 "trophys".
