All they'll do is evaluate the existing lines better. So it wouldn't help much with just a couple of laps worth of lines.wheels1758 wrote:If you run them in practice mode for a 60 minute + 60 lap race would they become significantly faster? Will they develop their own lines and get faster, or just perfect the slow lines?

Thanks Juan, I just got lucky with the start. This entire race was about getting through the first corner clean basically. Some people got screwed tonight, some dirty passing

Boy, what a mess that was.
Great win barry!
Kwic, thanks for blatantly punting me over the berm on lap like 4-6. Real cool.

First off I would like to apologize to you Shack, I was running a little agressive tonight but it was not my intention to take you out. But secondly I do not think I'm 100% to blame for what happend, While coming over the triple on-off you were about 5 feet away and had about 3/4 bike length on me, while we both jumped off the single at the end rythm you started drifting over to the left pretty hard, basically shuting the door on me. By the time my wheels touched the ground I only had a few feet to stop. I could have folded my front wheel and taken us both out so that wouldn't have stopped anything. So again sorry about what happend tonight, I'll try to pick my lines more wisely next time.ShackAttack12 wrote: Kwic, thanks for blatantly punting me over the berm on lap like 4-6. Real cool.

Re: 2011 SX Series by MotoOption Rd 11 - Thursday Night Mar 17
Great reply. Saying sorry is all you can really do... There is no one to blame for the format that is run at the moment, this is the second season of supercross and it has advanced greatly from what it was last year. (JLV the tracks this year are amazing compared to last thanks). Last year I was a huge spode, hell I am still a spode. Although when I am racing someone good I have the common courtesy to either make sure it's a clean pass or just follow until they crash, or accept the loss and respect the fact that they never made a mistake. I've always been able to run fast laps, I've just never have been able to do them consistent which is what I've worked on. The fact is there aren't enough extremely fast riders who are consistent, I can name 7-10 riders at max that I can have have an extremely fast clean battle with (They're all at Phathrys PMS series).....Throw in one guy who can run a for example this track we just raced a 49 second lap time (His overall best)...Well he tries to run that 49 and goons up every other lap if not every lap and causes pile ups etc....Even the fastest riders who anticipate the crashes cant avoid everything. The problem is people don't ride within their comfort zone, they try to run their BEST laptime they can possibly run every lap, when they should just relax a bit and run what they can consistenly....They try to push it, I mean honestly people trying to triple in on the first turn on the first lap from 13th place? What makes you think you're going to just clear it and break away to the lead... People need to recognize other riders are in front of them, hit the brakes a bit take the corner slowly and be smart about the race. And honestly jesus, the blue flag? It's pretty obvious and if you are getting lapped at that point your points don't matter at all in comparison to the leaders. Move, is all I can say. ( I know its not easy but damn at that point youre in 15th ish? hell jump off the track even I do especially in a Main)
If you can watch the demo's of where I got 15th and 16th place....I had best laptimes on both of those tracks, when I got lapped on the 3rd lap, did I EVER once pressure the leader? No I let him by, and I cruised behind him from a safe distance and let him race his race....At that point it was my fault for not behind him I wasn't as careful as I should have been, there is no reason why I should have even considered pressuring him. Even if I had 10 laps it was not enough for me to make an aggressive pass on him, possibly make him lose the race and expect to gain 50-75 seconds back within the 9 laps left. The worst part is a ton of riders I know who can run amazingly consistent laps got screwed at this race because of others who just don't understand what "clean" racing is. Everyone who shows up, especially those who qualify need to choose their lines better, be more courteous and understand its a game. Just use your head guys, be a bit more cautious. You aren't the one breaking bones when you make a dumb decision although you definitely aren't helping yourselves gain an advantage by crashing you and someone else out of 5-7 positions. Dunno I won this weekend so I'm happy although I'd give it all up for a clean battle any day. Peace

You need to watch the demo again. That's not at all what happened.kwic73 wrote:First off I would like to apologize to you Shack, I was running a little agressive tonight but it was not my intention to take you out. I passed you cleanly before the triple and kept a safe distance from you. Going over that single at the end of the lane, i followed my usual line... I aimed just left of the middle of the turn at the top of the berm. You were about 3 bike lengths behind me. You blatantly turned before that single, in chad reed fashion, and hit me right in the side at my rider's legs, sending me over the berm, off the track, and almost into the other lane. You could have easily took the berm like a normal rider, but instead you were probably pissed that i passes you and wanted to try to pass me back.... however, you never would have passed me there.

The only thing worse then getting held up by a lapper for laps on end is when you pass them clean, or they get up behind you and start showing you wheels and what not. You know if you mess up a rhythm lane that you for sure are going to get landed on by them, lol.
Why doesn't the blue flag display when the lapper is laying on the ground? Is there a way to make it show in that instance?

Re: 2011 SX Series by MotoOption Rd 11 - Thursday Night Mar 17
Unless some is either being stupid, or not very good, that right there phatrhy would solve a lot of this supposedly lapper issue. Atm I'm a lapper even tho I don't race in any series, I have wrecked lead lap guys several times not because I was in there line or racing them on purpos, but because I wrecked no blue flag, got back up and not a single thing, I race forward thinking I was in the clear made a pass on a lead guy, never wrecked him yet I got reemed for passing.
Good suggestion phathry, I really don't think most lappers are meaning to wreck u guys...
