Devin, I'll say straight up that your attitude and level of communal respect have definitely improved over the past year or so. That having been said, I think this situation would have been entirely different if you completely missed the joker lane (IE, forgot to take it). Instead, you entered the Joker lane like you were going to take it and then just went straight through. That, plus openly admitting you had thoughts of taking out Leclair, makes the whole situation pretty immature and bad. I think you just took a few steps back in the communal respect department because of this. If you had actually gone ahead with maliciously punting Leclair, i wouldn't have been opposed to permanently banning you for an offense like that. It's stuff like this that draws me away from racing anymore, and it doesn't matter who is the culprit.

I have no idea what this means because I don't know what a gallah is, but I fucking love it.

2015 Monster Energy Cup Penalties and Official Results

Open Cup Class Penalties:
  • Jack Jeffries was disqualified from Main Event #2 and disallowed to race Main Event #3 due to an incident where he took out Matt Burkeen as a lapper. Jeffries was obviously not interested in racing at this point, as he did a backflip on the landing of a jump, which caused Burkeen to clip Jeffries while coming through that section. Jack was very understanding that though it was not intentional, things like this shouldn't have happened at a race like this where a high amount of money is on the line. Thank you Jack for being respectful and understanding.
  • Devin Davis was disqualified from Main Event #3 due to missing the Joker Lane and cutting the course with intent to take out Alexis Leclair. Devin admitted that his cut through the Joker Lane was going to be in an attempt to take Leclair out.
There were no penalties assessed to the 250 All-Star Class. People were rumbling about Brock Papi racing for Chase MacDonald, but I have no way to confirm this, so I cannot assess any penalties. Being that Chase did not win his money back, the penalty would have no real affect, so it is irrelevant at this point.

If you won money (I will watch the whip demos when I have free time), I will be sending it to the PayPal address associated with your signup in the coming days. I have a busy week with exams and a phone interview for an internship on Thursday, so it may take some time. Please bear with me.

I'd like to extend a huge thank you to these people who helped to make this event a huge success: Sammy Holt (servers/site/hosting help), Barrington (track), SMR (track objects), Jay (track objects), Motoagogo (livestream), Kellen (opening ceremonies voices), and our anonymous decal placer who wishes to not be named. Also thank you to all the racers who showed up and to those who pledged special prizes! This event was a huge success in the end.

A disqualification = 90 points? What is this? I understand the penalty but I'm not really sure where the amount of points comes from.

Smith didn't start the final race due to internet problems (or his game crashed), correct? He got the same punishment as I did, which doesn't make sense.. I'll accept the points but is it fair that Smith gets 89 points for something out of his control?

http://results.amasupercross.com/xml/SX ... POINTS.pdf

JS7 didn't start two main events at MEC and he got scored the same as he would have if he finished last.

Devin, the 90 comes from the AMA competition rule book (albeit for amateur races) and the 89 points, though it was something out of his control, is still counted as a DNS. If I have a bike problem at a race and can't start my second moto, I will get a DNS for the second moto. Mills was out after the first race, so I made sure he was behind Smith, but ahead of penalized riders since he was not penalized and left because of alleged computer issues. I hate to be the "this is how it is because it's how I want it to be" guy, but preference is usually given to those who complete all races and that is how I'd like to do it. I apologize to Jeremy if it seems to be a BS rule.

What do you mean it's an AMA rule? I've never seen it before for AMA Pro events.
